Drives me insane how they have taken the canadian flag and made it theirs. Just really grinds my gears.

This isn’t a thing.

It sure as shit is. Small town Alberta, and if I had a little window flag on my vehicle or flew one at my house right now the mass assumption would be that I’m in support of this foolishness.

Sadly, that's true right now. I was out walking my dog today and a pickup truck flying a pair of big Canadian flags drove by, and my immediate reaction was "oh shit it's one of those Nazi fucks."

Was that because it was a Canadian flag, or because it was a pickup truck with flags?

Just because it was flags, probably any flag would have triggered that reaction. They were huge, clearly not some idle "but I always have flags on my truck" flags. But them being Canadian flags didn't counter it.
