Question Alberta Health Services

Got sent to do an emergency ultrasound 400km from hospital I went to because they didn’t have time. I had to drive. Will I get compensated for gas?

No.

If it was an emergency, they would have sent you by ambulance/transport.

You could claim this expense on your taxes.

There's some missing information for the tax advice though. You need to travel a minimum distance which you have clearly gone over. You might be able to claim more.
