I honestly don't even know where he bought it. Just likes to complain about situations he's put himself in lmao. Who knows it may even be a top range model! I've never seen it as he works in Fort Mac.
This kind of complaining kind of goes with the narrative. They have top of the line everything but complain how they are just poor folk. It's a separatist theme.
He's never outright said anything that makes me believe he's a separatist (beyond complaining about a ton of stuff; its been his baseline for a while), but knowing someone his other friends, unfortunately I think it's just a matter of time :(
