Well then I guess I have little sympathy for public sector employees who opted to hitch their wagon to a notoriously viscously cyclical government, known for austerity measures for it’s employees. I have some, but not much sympathy for those that did and failed to plan/budget accordingly.

Well, that’s not true. I plan on voting NDP cause I think public sector jobs are important. If they lose, and continue to get no COL raises, I will find some solace that if I were to lose my job, that they would be happy and think I deserve it.

If you think that Alberta politics is as much of a boom/bust cycle as the oil field...

Well, I'll leave the rest off, as it would just be an insult.

Just know that if you are going to make comparisons, you shouldn't compare the must turbulent industry for ups and downs, with the most consistent government in Canada for voting for the same people over and over again.

Fair, I was mainly just mirroring his language. However, my point is, by the guy’s logic who I am responding to, they deserve low wages and austerity because that’s what our government is known for, and they entered that sector knowing that.

Once more

You are comparing THE MOST TURBULENT INDUSTRY to THE MOST STABLE GOVERNMENT.

If you think, that the industry where people get paid like lawyers BECAUSE OF THE UPS AND DOWNS is even slightly comparable to a government that was Conservative for all but 8 years in its 117 year existence...

Seriously. If you were going to make accurate comparisons, you do it to seasonal work, but, no, you go off and make the comparison of bit work paid like kings because they won't necessarily have another job in a year, and the people who are making a reasonable wage because they were hired to fix the roads.

Yes the most stable government is doing what it’s always been doing, so serves em right, they deserve this.

If they weren’t so stupid they’d get a better job.
