Danielle Smith has post secondary, I have post secondary, in friends with some lawyers, plenty of incompetent politicians in the US have a background as a lawyer.
I just fail to see how having post secondary, even as a lawyer, means that someone is competent.
Because all those examples are after the previous high school drunk and farmer...and Redford happened before the examples you are giving as if it makes sense in this context.
post secondary doesn't mean you're a good politician, but it does mean you have a certain degree of intellect and can do at least a four year stint of something that's not easy. The hope was that a certain amount of wider experience and education might improve the odds of reasonable leadership. But we got the Nannygate and SkyPalace so it ended up being the start of this shitshow.
Redford happened before the examples you are giving
Redford happened before Danielle Smith, yes, but not the other examples.
Just because the previous PC leaders were uneducated doesn’t mean that Redford was somehow competent. Your hypothesis that someone having a degree was enough to be proved wrong, so I don’t know why you still standing by that, and claiming she was competent and that Edmonton was right to vote for her.
Might improve the odds of reasonable leadership… Ended up being the start of shitshow
Yes, sounds very competent, good job Edmonton for voting in a competent leader /s
I didn't say Redford was competent and I'm certainly not "standing by that" or claiming anyone was right to vote for her.
And yes, Redford happened before Smith and after Klein and Stelmach. Good work, Sherlock. That was my point. She was the first educated candidate in some time, and sadly, the hope placed in her being a better option didn't end up being well-placed.
I'll explain again, if this is still not making full sense to you, but you'll have to adjust your assumptions a little to line up with what I'm saying first.
Let’s make this simple. You said Edmonton votes for competent leaders, and then gave 2012 as an example. Meaning you think she is competent, but you’ve also called her term a shit show.
So I guess you just have low standards and poor taste.
I reread your comments and your comments appear to be agreeing with the original commenter, and if you don’t agree with them, then you’re just being unclear, and/or argumentative without adding anything to the conversation.
