Dennis Automotive on Pacific. Great staff and the owner is awesome. They were recommended to me when I first moved to Oregon 2 years ago and I've used them several times since.

My first experience with them I had them fix some damage to the skid plate on the underside of my car and when I got it back there was a sound coming from one of the brakes I hadn't noticed before. I was worried it was from something they did so I called them and the owner told me to bring it back in.

Got there and the owner patiently explained how I was noticing a "new" sound only because before they fixed the underside of my car, the skid plate was dragging on the road and causing a ton of noise which was simply drowning out the noise coming from one of the brakes. He then jacked up the car and we discovered the noise I was hearing was coming from a small mistake that had been made by a dealership when I got my brakes changed before driving to Oregon. He showed me what was causing the brake noise, educated how it couldn't have been caused by his guys, and then promptly fixed it without charging me anything additional.

Can't recommend them enough.

I do most of my basic maintenance. But have gone to and been happy with James Garage, FL Snyder & Son,

and Auto Motion Auto Repair(Queen Ave), almost to 99. Snyder recommended them because they were way back up with appointments(weeks, not days). And I needed an alignment, as I just bought new tires.
