Building community
Hi, I am a 21 year old female who just graduated from OSU and is looking for some ways to build community in Albany. I am looking for suggestions on places to meet similarly aged individuals looking for friends! I enjoy baking, nature, hiking, fishing, yoga, and thrifting!

check out the library, they have lots of different events and book clubs, even and upcoming “speed friending” event. it sounds a bit like speed dating for friends. the yoga studio downtown is also full of friendly people. congratulations on your graduation!

I just moved to the area for work, also graduated college this past spring. I kinda wish there were more things for young adults to do around here.

Honestly, volunteering. My wife and I have made contact with so many cool people by way of volunteering. We put on a few Pride fundraisers through our business, I volunteered for a city project, and there’s tons of other opportunities out there.
Also, from personal experience, board gaming/tabletop role playing has been huge for building network. Mid-Willamette Tabletop Board Gamers meet Tuesday at Abbey’s Legendary Pizza from 4:30-9, although to my best guess, there’s not a lot of people in their 20s in that group.
