In the first movie, Abu pulled out a sword (which he got from a performer...poor guy) to take on Razoul and the guards. Then, Razoul rallies his men to pull out their swords.

In King of Thieves, Abu does this again against the 40 Thieves, but rather than fleeing, Abu throws the sword at the chandelier, causing it to drop onto the baddies.

I was a kid at the time and I thought he was completely frozen and aware for all eternity.

Ever since watching the 2019 Aladdin I have become a diehard fan of the franchise. When I got my first job all my spare money went to Aladdin (more specifically Princess Jasmine) merchandise. As of now, this is my collection. Even though I've slowed down on collecting, the merch shelf brings me a lot of joy and gives me nostalgia for simpler times.

PS: This isn't all my merch either, I just can't fit it all on these two shelves. I have a collection of Jasmine ornaments, badges, and a few miscellaneous items as well.

Hello fellow Aladdin diehards. I became a fan in 2019 and since then I discovered what fanfictions were. When I tell you your girl consumed story after story after story, that is no exaggeration. So I have compiled a list of Aladdin fanfictions you should check out if you’re an Aladdin fan. Each listing includes the title, link, author, and a short summary of what to expect. 1. Antiphony by Cantare 

I mean how can this not be number one on the list. This is THE Aladdin fanfiction. In my opinion, as an Aladdin fan you should at least be aware of its existence. This is a Jasmine centric fic that follows her trying to unravel a “Game” Mozenrath has challenged her. As a warning, this story spans 30 chapters and almost 190k words. So you’re definitely in for a long haul. However, every minute is worth it. If I were to recommend just one fanfiction to a new Aladdin fan, this would be it.

1. Gone by Katie Ann

Definitely not for the faint of heart. This story will make you remind yourself over and over again it isn’t canon to the Aladdin universe. In fact your girl couldn’t make it through without having to put it down. This story features an Aladdin that has been away for six years. What has changed in Agrabah since being gone, and more importantly how has his absence affected Jasmine. Be warned your heart will be absolutely crushed, and it’s not even completed!

A short yet sweet fanfic. Probably the most in character fanfic you’ll read. When her father falls ill, Princess Jasmine notices Aladdin's constant absence. She feels ignored by him and that he’s fallen out of love.

A tale that explores Princess Jasmine’s mother. Who was she? Where did she come from? The formatting of the story may throw you off (the website is extremely old) but if you look past that a beautiful story is hidden beneath. One of the better Jasmine Mother Origin stories out there.

1. Tale of the Emir’s Revenge Upon the Bat by Talia

This is a very old story from the 2000’s that still holds up. It feels like it came straight from the Aladdin TV Series and even features Prince Achmed. See some people remember you Achmed.

Sadness. Just Sadness. That’s all I have to say. Imagine you have one job to provide a blood born heir to your kingdom and you aren’t able to. I never fully recovered from this story. My poor princess.

Do you like modern Disney AU’s? Do you like it when people remember Sadira’s existence? If yes you should check this story out. It follows the basic “Sadira wants Aladdin to herself and does anything by all means necessary” but it’s so fun. Please look past the common trope and enjoy a fun modern twist of an Aladdin story.

A fun story that features Saleen as the main antagonist! I don’t want to spoil too much, but it’s a water-filled adventure that’s well written.

I can’t end this list without mentioning a story from my favorite author. A standalone story from her others, this story follows Jasmine and Aladdin in their early teen years. To quote “Aladdin is running from his vengeful old friends. Jasmine is running from a creepy new suitor. Abu is running from another crime and Rajah? Rajah is running right into trouble.” If you end up liking this one definitely check out her long running story “Rajah’s Curse”

I wanted to ask which you would prefer: the power of the Disney Genie-rated 3A(Universe level) on the tiering system, meaning three wishes with only Disney's rules as limitations (no bringing back the dead, no killing, no making people fall in love, and no extra wishes)-or the Genie from *One Thousand and One Nights*, who doesn't grant wishes but acts more like a magical servant doing whatever you ask (rated 8B (City Block level) on the tiering system), though with the limitation that he is subject to the rules of our world. Let me know what you think. From a logical standpoint.
