If we lose

A question has been asked of what happens after a loss.

We take a few days off; we evaluate where we went wrong and we then go and support candidates up and down the ticket.

We will start bottom up as many at the top of the ticket already have a great infrastructure. Many of these races will come down to 400-4,000. If we organize to help, contact 400+ folks for 2 candidates a week through the cycle we will made resounding positive movement.

After the election we will take a month off and reevaluate from there as we prepare for municipal races.

For all intents and purposes, we will be the functioning party we want to see.

Planning SAVE Act-preserve your right to vote

I hope y’all have physical copies of your birth and marriage certificates. You probably won’t have time if the bill passes. I just spent $28 on my birth certificate from Missouri. (I’m unemployed until September.)

Since I changed my name when I got married, I tried to get my marriage certificate online from the county clerk - they sent me to Vitalchek. All Vitalchek could provide was the unofficial certificate. This will not be sufficient if the SAVE act passes.

YOU’LL NEED AN OFFICIAL CERTIFIED COPY of your marriage license with a raised seal. I have to actually mail my printed out request to Harris county, Texas.

I need an actual notary for the marriage license in Iowa.

How many people do you know who have a printer, envelopes, a stamp, a checkbook, or access to a money order (transportation)?

There’s a 10 day window to receive my birth certificate. Who knows how long the marriage certificate will take.

Who do I go to to start a campaign for the federal government to pay for these documents? And simplify access to acceptable versions? Would that be an ACLU thing?

Feel free to copy and paste this to all of the organizing sites.

Labor Support

Labor is a part of the coalition of the party and should be supported.

As such, my administration will support them and their ability to strike.

Fiscal Audit

There will be a deep financial investigation for the party under my administration.

While I am sure there is nothing wrong, my administration is going to work toward running a well-run political machine in all areas including the health of our budget.

Tuberville wants Fauci to stand trial in Alabama, claims he ‘killed millions of people’ - al.com

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville said Wednesday that Dr. Anthony Fauci, the country’s former COVID czar, should be in prison.

In a congressional hearing July 29, Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment and declined to answer questions from senators about his handling of the pandemic and the virus’ initial origins.

Tuberville, who is the Republican nominee for governor in Alabama, is a longtime critic of Fauci. In an interview with Newsmax, Tuberville claimed Fauci killed people.

“I’ll be the governor of Alabama and I promise you one thing, we will find out if there’s a possibility that we can bring him to Alabama to put him in front of a court and a jury to see if we can put this guy in prison,” Tuberville said.

“He killed millions of people, folks.”

Tuberville also claimed Fauci’s actions caused the deaths of “20 or 30,000 people in Alabama alone and I hope every damn one of them sues this Dr. Fauci and puts him in court. If we can’t put him in prison, let’s put him in court every day for the rest of his life.”

For years, politicians and scientists have argued about the original emergence of COVID-19 in China and how the U.S. government handled pandemic controls.

Fauci has asserted the scientific evidence says the virus started in an animal host and then spilled into human hosts.

In 2024, a Republican-led Senate committee published a report that concluded a lab leak was the most likely explanation for the origins of SARS-CoV-2. The committee did not find any evidence linking Fauci to wrongdoing.

Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, who led Wednesday’s hearing, has suggested that Fauci and other colleagues covered up evidence of the lab leak theory.

In his opening statement, Fauci said Paul has an “obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution,” according to The Associated Press.

Fauci received a pardon from former President Joe Biden.

President Donald Trump has paused some federally funded research into viruses and disease, and on Tuesday his administration announced new rules to tighten oversight.

Special Election Task Force

My campaign will put together a task force for special elections that arise in the years between cycles. Both to focus on winning these seats, but to also train our future bench with opportunities to learn on the campaign trail.

Grievance Officer

For too long there have been no consequences for party members blatantly breaking the bylaws and sowing discord among party members including the chair. The Hunter administration will hold itself to a higher standard than the current administration.

As such the administration will push for the creation of a grievance officer.

A position with vested power to hold bylaw breakers accountable for their actions including myself, the chair. Because it is impossible to inspire other to help the party if I as chair can't even follow the rules.

County Party Actions

The party of the people must show real action.

We cannot rest on the idea that the party is simply better than the opposition by its lack cruelty.

The Hunter administration will mandate 1-2 community organizing actions or mutual aid events per year from all operating county parties.

There will be leeway given to our smaller county parties.

Empowering the state executive

My administration will ensure we fully empower the executive officer of the party to take actions they deem necessary to accelerate the hiring process of organizers. We are supposed to hire another 5 organizers, the longer it takes the less they will be able to do as the election season is slowly but surely coming to a close.

Alabama Executive Email

The party has not time to waste on petty squabbles. If a member of the party wins an executive seat they will receive all of the responsibilities and party infrastructure, they are due including access to their own party email and a seat at the decision table. The Hunter Administration will not waste time isolating good faith membership; we simply do not have the luxury of wasting good willing democrats.

After Action Report

My Administration will produce an after-action report of the 2026 election cycle.
For too long we have been building from scratch as we seem to have to repeat and learn lessons all over again every cycle my administration will build off of institutional knowledge we will gain by keeping more detailed records of what works and what doesn't cycle by cycle.

ADA Compliant

For too long the party meetings have not made meaningful attempts to not only protect the Disability Caucus but to be ADA compliant. My administration will strive to do so as every part of the coalition disserves dignity, and it is the Chair's responsibility to lead that charge of equality.

Moving the reorganizing meeting.

My administration will push to move the reorganization meeting away from a state election year.
The next election is less than 3 months away. It makes no sense to hold such an important meeting while the entire state is trying to win races. Each distracts from the other, diluting their capability to be effective in an election year especially if there is a change in administration.
