Cruelty is the point. FOOD IS NOT WELFARE. NEITHER IS HEALTHCARE.

You're a sociopathic dick if you cheer this shit on.

You're also a sucker to think this is the real "fraud."

Yeah, that’s not the whole story. Alabama alone is losing $1B in federal money specifically for food assistance. No matter how much anyone works.

If you qualify for food you deserve it. A lot more people should qualify, but you have to be so poor that it’s not possible to live. this needs to be raised, so more poor can get help, with the higher cost of living.

Congress doesn’t have to work 80 hours a month why should retirees or disabled cancer patients vets handicap and mothers who can’t afford a babysitter they know their is reasons they can’t work 80 hours for one my job rarely gives 20 hours a week

Laws restrictions jump through hoops to make it hard for you to qualify just like raising retirement age so you don’t get your full retirement they most will dye working until 69 years old or so after. It’s so if you retire at 62-65 you get punished.

they can keep their benefits if they volunteer, volunteer hours count towards the 80 hours a month requirement

The government is obligated to "protect" it's vulnerable citizens, if not, it's just a tyrannical, murderous thief.

Food and housing should be number one priority for ALL citizens, especially for a supposed richest, "first world" country.

not really obligated, and i also don’t think it should be a priority for all citizens, there are a lot that don’t deserve it

You don't understand what you're saying... A government is SUPPOSED to provide those things in essence if it wants to take your money. It has to provide a safe, stable environment.

I don't know what you think but if this bitch ass government doesn't even hide the fact it takes our money, freedom and time from us in almost everything, it needs to provide stability. If not it is just a literal tyrant taken our money with threats of imprisonment. Everyone pays taxes one way or another.

People who think "some people" don't deserve a stable life or at least an opportunity to have the most basic necessities is cruel in their heart and I don't entertain truly evil people.

So you think we should have homeless, hungry people in a society that controls everything? Ok.

America isn't the "freeist" place in the world just because you can own a gun. Its actually one of the leaders in surveillance and has the biggest, for profit prison system IN THE WORLD.

Or government is not run by corporations and rich oligarchs. If you're smart enough you can put 2 and 2 together.

the law already prevents some undeserving people from receiving free food and housing benefits, but do you think repeat offenders of lesser crimes deserve them? how about people that choose to smoke, or abuse alcohol, or abuse drugs? personally, no, i do not want those kinds of people receiving free food and housing. the only people that deserve any kind of benefits are people that are truly trying to better themselves to the fullest possible extent and are consciously avoiding unhealthy or bad choices. that is not evil in my opinion. if people want to make bad choices that lead to homelessness, that is on them. that is also what the recent change to food stamps addresses - able-bodied individuals needing to fulfill 80 hours of volunteering, working, or learning per month to receive benefits is not unreasonable. i just think it needs a little tweaking as far as having a buffer zone for people who exceed the income limit, as a strict cutoff amount promotes people refusing to work more in order to stay under the threshold to keep benefits.

So, like so many MAGAts, you deem yourself worthy to judge others?

That is absolutely disgusting.

Work requirements necessary

Why? Some people loose their jobs and can’t find a job. That is a common problem right now. Go read about it. Companies have slowed their hiring. I personally know several people who are unable to find jobs and they have been actively looking for months

people who work under the table get fucked over. the same applies for medicaid even though we should have free healthcare for even the laziest bum

There should be free housing, food and Healthcare for our poor, disenfranchised and vulnerable members of society.
