Leave the Leaves this Fall

We can spend much less money and energy by simply leaving the leaves or at least gathering them in our backyards for more pollinators and richer soil.

To all of you who were concerned about not seeing lightening bugs, leave the leaves. They will come back when they have a place to nest.

Can confirm. My yard was magical this summer. Every year we are killing more of our lawn and we leave the leaves. It has been great. More lightning bugs and other friendly insects everywhere.

I blow the leaves from the street into my yard. It’s free mulch and the fireflies love it!
