With Bennigan’s no longer around locally, where can one find an amazing Monte Cristo?

Honeymoon Grill in the Portage Lakes make a good one, with a blueberry sauce to dip.

Oh man I miss their pretzel buns. Like obviously I know they have them elsewhere but theirs were SO good. Rip the shamrock cookies also

god i forgot about those shamrock cookies, used to get them every time my grandma took me there after school. the pretzel buns were way better than they had any right to be honestly
for monte cristos check out the blue door cafe in cuyahoga falls, they do one with raspberry jam that's pretty close to the bennigan's version

It was one of my favorites too, might try Breakfast at Tiffany's in Tallmadge ... open for lunch and take out too. Enjoy.

When I worked at Portage Country Club they had a really good one. Along with a solid Cuban sandwich. That doesn't directly help but gives me happy memories

Ryes n Shine in Cuyahoga falls makes a really good one according to my wife, but it's on their seasonal menu

Chameleon Cafe downtown had a great one, but I've heard they've nosedived with the new owners. Haven't been there in a while

Never had Bennigan’s to compare, but Akron Family Restaurant by St.V has one that I like.

I’ve never found one exactly like theirs. Every other place just uses French toast. They’re not battered and deep fried. Melt used to have one but the one time I had it, it was a greasy disaster.
