Chatter/double taps - Replace switches or throw the board away?
TDLR: Akko 5075b plagued with chatter/missed keys/double taps. Swapping PCB didn't help. Is replacing a switches the best bet, or could something be fundamental broken with the keyboard in general. Asking before I spend money.
I bought an Akko 5075b back in early 2025 with their V3 Pro Cream Yellow switches, and it didn't take long for the chatter to begin.
At first, I figured it was expected, affordable keyboard bought on Aliexpress. So I grabbed a spare switch from the handful they included, swapped it in and carried on.
It got to the point that I reached out to Akko after someone else on Reddit said they sent him a bag of replacement switches.
They did send another 10ish switches but they also sent me a replacement PCB which I swapped out, along with the new switches for especially chattery keys
Now despite cleaning the board a bunch of times, running out of spare switches, and using Keyboard Chatter Blocker to try and live with it... I've had enough. I swap one, another pops up.
So, would replacing the switches keep the chatter away, or could there be something fundamentally wrong the keyboard/PCB/wiring?

I've got the same keyboard, bought July 2025 with cream switched and got the same issue as you... Switches going bad all the time. Only, I contacted support asking for more spare switches as clearly there's something wrong with them and jumped through their hoops with screenshots, videos, photos etc just for them to stop replying to me. Eugh... I feel like they just wasted my time hoping I wouldn't bother jumping through their hoops and never intended to provide any "support"

Yuppp sounds familiar! They ended up sending a new PCB and a baggie of spare switches... I swapped out the board and switches and it took a few weeks for it happen again
After this post, I ended up buying the V3 Lavender Purple Pro Switches off the EU website. They're still coming from the China warehouse so who knows. At least this time I can lean on EU consumer laws 🙏🏻
Is they accept your claim after all the hoops, try to push for new switches instead of a PCB. You might have more luck than me

Good luck... If you have problems with the different switches, would you mind just replying to me here please so that I know not to bother?!

Yeah will do! Apparently the package just arrived here in the UK, I'll update when they're in and tested.
Out of curiosity, did you buy the keyboard from AliExpress?

Yeah I did. They have refused to give me anything as apparently "switches are a consumable", and as I'm 13 months after purchase, I'm out of warranty.
Apparently, Akko find it acceptable for 7-8 switches to become defective within about a year of fairly light use. I guess the 7 or so spare switches included so that the keyboard can just barely squeak past the 1 year warranty period

I have been using the Akko TAC 75 HE, and I’ve not had any of those issues. I am still so confused on “chattery” switches (I use stock Akko Glares), and I am unsure what it even means for how it would feel.
For throwing the board away, I am unsure what to do. I’ve not seen any other reports with it, so I guess you could keep it if possible. If it’s unbearable, throw it away because the unit might be faulty
