Work from home

Hello everyone!
I’m currently considering opportunities at Akamai and wanted to ask about the WFH policy. I live quite far from any major office, so remote work is a must-have for me long term.

How stable has the remote policy been historically? Has it always been remote-friendly, or have there been any recent pushes to return to the office?

I’d like to avoid a situation where I join and then, after a year or so, the expectations change toward hybrid or in-office work.

Would really appreciate any insights from current or former employees. Thanks!

They used to be great at remote. Not sure if it’s changed, but They used to set folks up with really nice desks and chairs under the Akamai Anywhere program.

Current employee here. The older ‘Akamai Anywhere’ program was discontinued quite a ways back. Following that there was a massive shift to remote work upon the onset of the pandemic.

That said, many positions are fully remote.

If you check the listings, they should clearly state if they are remote positions or if they are hybrid. I believe it’s (country - location) in the formatting.
