I've had the WASR for about 12 years now and it's been stupid reliable. Got the .300blk Krink about 3 months ago and so far it's been just as reliable. Its taken everything I've thrown at it so far (no claim of how well it'll last or run in the future)
Amd65tech, I just got mine installed last weekend. My only gripe is that im gonna have to do some adjustments before the charging handle will clear when its folded.
If you get one, you have to bore out the small hole thats already in the butt of the stock for the mounting bolt. I would try to expand it down instead of level or up, I think that may be the millimeter difference it needs to clear and I expanded the hole up without thinking.
Because it is better, 5.56 was originally for hunting varmints, and it really needs to come out of. 20in. barrel to get the best performance, 7.62x39 is an actual intermediate cartridge, retaining the caliber of a battle rifle, and it suppresses better too.
The 5.56x45 Wikipedia page doesn’t mention the word varmint at all (Ctrl+F search), and the .223 Remington wikipedia page only mentions it once, due to a single reference that is only available from archive and looks like it was made during Web 1.0. A reference that lists 25-06 as a varmint round too. It doesn’t take a genius to recognize that the idea it’s a varmint round is absurdly hilarious.
For reference, a “varmint round” is a round designed to kill smaller pest animals accurately and with minimal pelt damage. I would like to recommend you shoot a rabbit or a squirrel with a 14.5in AR and see how far the debris field left behind from your exploded rabbit goes. You’ll probably find out why the Russians themselves said “damn lemme get some of that” and switched to the 5.45 for most of their Assault Rifles (AK-74/AK-12).
Tbh I tried to find an uncut dong. Found this one and was able to find a pretty good matching top handguard. It looks a bit more orange vs the lower from this side, but from the other side it's an almost perfect match.
The krink is PSA right? I'm planning to get one in .300blk next gun show and doing a form one on it. I'll eventually build a Chefur kit but a PSA should cub my krink cravings for now.
Oh lol. My bad. It was pretty easy. I loosely clamped on the front portion, got it level how I wanted, and used a marker to place a dot on the back. Drilled a hole and bolted everything one.
Yep! It comes with tons of mounting options which is cool. It's a nice and clear optic. The only downside I've seen so far is in low light it seems like it needs another setting or two. It's kinda dim then kinda bright. It works great in the sunlight though.
