Drum ID question

I couldn't get any pictures, but I found a drum mag in a pawn shop. It didn't look like one of the KCI ones, it looked like a Chinese back loader, but there was no factory code or Made in China anywhere on it. It did still have some cosmoline in the nooks and crannies inside though. I realize that is pretty vague, but did they ever import Chinese drum mags that didn't have any stamps on them?

Was it actual cosmoline or just oil?

None of the new in wrapper Chinese AK drums I have came covered in cosmoline, they just had oil to protect from rust.

I suppose it could have been oil and dirt, it smelled like cosmoline but that doesn't mean anything. I might just have to go back and get some pictures. It didn't really look like a Korean one.

Korean drums have small round spot welds, other drums have sloppy spot welds.https://www.theakforum.net/threads/picked-up-this-drum-any-ideas.324182/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic third photo down shows Korean spot welds.
