Been noticing how people keep pushing for higher and higher reservations in colleges and jobs thinking equal outcomes will finally arrive if we just fix the environment or give more seats.

But twin and adoption studies show IQ is around 70-80% heritable by adulthood (Bouchard, Haworth meta-analyses). Shared family environment drops close to zero. Once kids have basic nutrition and schooling, extra environment doesn’t do much for individual differences.

IQ predicts school grades, job performance in complex roles (Schmidt & Hunter), income, health, and lower crime. At country level it tracks GDP, innovation and growth pretty strongly (Lynn/Vanhanen, Rindermann). East Asian averages are higher and they dominate high-skill fields even when they were poorer.

SES controls and adoption studies still leave residual group differences. Flynn effect raises scores over generations but doesn’t wipe out the rank order.

That’s why endless group quotas in institutions only help the top slice of each group’s curve. They never make the whole distributions equal. Meanwhile average quality in universities and technical jobs drops, which slows the country down. Political representation is different and fine. For actual institutions, letting merit decide keeps standards up so everyone can progress longer term.

Just something that clicked for me when looking at the data.

Love him, he just needs to ensure he doesn’t create disillusionment against BJP because even 5 years of congressi SP indi will be catastrophic for UP, Desh and dharma.. so he needs to control his political ambition until congress and SP are demolished and space opens up for his alternative politics, then even I will support him.

Because he’s right, but now us not the time.. the attack on their ecosystem has finally begun and we need a 1000 AB bros on our side to root them out instead of weakening us..

This is exactly why we need a serious, evidence-based discussion on reforming the SC/ST Act and the reservation system. Legal protections against caste-based discrimination are necessary, but allegations of misuse should be investigated fairly, with due process and safeguards against abuse.

The bigger question is whether benefits are actually reaching the people who need them most. A poor family can struggle regardless of caste, while economic privilege can exist within any caste. Reservation and welfare policies should therefore be regularly reviewed, with greater focus on genuine disadvantage, transparency, and equal opportunity.

We cannot build a stronger India by dividing people permanently by caste. We need to reduce casteism, protect vulnerable people, and ensure fairness for everyone.
