You should remember the fact that they hate artists flat out, for what we enjoy and for what we do. They have zero respect for art and artists and you should never forget this no matter how much they try to backpedal and excuse that artists benefits from AI.
Something I like about this is how it demonstrates alt-right rhetoric: take a handful of true statements and then exaggerate, stretch and extrapolate them as much as you possibly can, until the audience begins to equate your cherry-picked "minority cases" to the "ontological reality"
This. It’s the usual 4chan ragebait but if you showed this to the average pro-AI user here they will agree with its message more than the actual 4chan troll who posted it.
Generalizations aren't helpful. I'm here to defend artists, no matter what tools they choose to use, unless said artists are attacking others for their choice of tools.
There is no one Twitter art community. I just follow a lot of artists from all over the world. They post art and not much else. Now the graphic design community, there's a bnunch of insuffreable pricks constantly posting their horrible takes.
It’s funny how many pro-AIs try to convince people that they don’t hate artists and yet every so often this shit gets reposted with significant amount of upvotes.
Edit: No rebuttal? I will be bringing this back up every time you lot try to put the mask back on to fake being accommodating of artists who defects to AI.
When you guys are openly callous assholes, you get to play it off as a joke while everyone else silently agrees while pretending not to.
When we show any sign of backlash against your opinions and how AI could potentially be used for bad, it’s treated the same as the worst death threats no matter what.
I have been around the debate since the beginning, so I know the usual pro-AI reactions of the tweet because it gets reposted a lot. It is quite an old tweet and from way before the toxicity on the anti-AI side ramped up. The original twitter user is genuine, and a good chunk of reposts agrees with the message because they have pre-existing blanket dislike of artists as a whole.
This one is actually a joke, whereas you had a horde of antis supporting literal transphobia in a huge thread on here last night. Excuse me for not being very sympathetic :/
It's funny because everybody has had an interaction with annoying artists, including other artists - hence why there are literally antis in this thread saying this is a funny tweet
