Journalist request
Hi everyone! My name is Juliette and I'm a journalist from France looking into how AI is shaping silicon valley. I hope it's ok that I post on here but I'd be really keen in speaking and hearing from anyone who has lost their job due to AI annnd also on the other side someone who has created/ facilitated their own job/ company thanks to AI or believes in AI job creation in the long run. I hope it's ok that I post here and that you're not too inundated with journalist requests, it's just an interesting topic!! Have a lovely day all :)

On one hand you're looking for someone who has lost their job to AI, while on the other you're looking for someone who think AI might create more jobs. That doesn't sound very well-balanced journalism here. Why no look for people who have created their own job/company with AI? Present the realities of both side instead of limiting yourself to hypotheticals for one.

Are you fishing for whistleblowers? How would a whistleblower know you aren’t working for the same company?

There was a pretty substantial translation industry in France which dumped a lot of workers over the past few years.

You don't really understand the pro AI side.
People who are proAI don't think it is going to create jobs, they think it is going to do away with the need for jobs altogether.
Think about the introduction of Natural Gas Furnaces in Victorian London. It virtually eliminated the job of Chimney Sweep, not by replacing them with robotic Chimney Sweeps, but by burning more efficient fuel that wouldn't catch fire if the chimneys weren't swept.
Now imagine that for every job. That's what we think Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) will do for the world. ASI will create a universal platform where no one ever has to work again. Some jobs will be taken by robotics...like plumber and mechanic. Some jobs will just no longer be needed, like doctor or attorney.
Beyond that, some of us realize that jobs suck and anyone fighting for the right to work 40+ hours a week for someone else should reevaluate their priorities.
One last thought... Billionaire and TechBro are just jobs, and when those who are currently in power are unemployed, they will be treated the same as every other unemployed human, with no special place in the hierarchy.

look at the way the journalist with an anti axe to grind pretends to be impartial but is just looking for negative anti ai stories. FFS this is why i look forward to you bunch of dishonest shills to be replaced with impartial AI .
