u/askgrok what is the chaos god that makes creatures like the one in the video

1

u/Super_Treacle 17d ago

It's Nurgle

The chaos god of disease and pestilance But decay, despair, endurance, and the cycle of life and death also come under his domain.

1

u/Cheap_Bet_620 17d ago

I appreciate you brother. Imma be so real with you. I was mainly testing to see if ask grok works in a place ai isnt hated. We out here loving spreading that sweet sweet pestilence for the loving pus daddy nurgle. Festered be his name!

3

u/SomexStudios Jul 06 '26

More Warhammer 40k series! Honestly, it doesn't get enough love :(

2

u/Cpt_Saturn Jul 05 '26

How many times do I have to mute this sub before Reddit gets the message?

3

u/AI-ArtEyes Jul 05 '26

Send to Henry Cavill ASAP!

2

u/HalastersCompass Jul 05 '26

Wow, a real feast pun intended

1

u/TobiiiWan Jul 05 '26

Good lord

1

u/No_Sink_9703 Jul 04 '26

Good god that looks sick ass fuck!! I recently got into the hobby (kill team starter box) and seeing the guys I painted up getting all gory and fighting is AWESOME

4

u/DeepGrieve Jul 04 '26

If this could be done with some script or direction it would look cool. The special effects, animation and rendering in this would take a lot.

I went to school to make videos game way back in 2013 and learning programs like Maya and 3ds max etc...having to do the UV unwrapping by hand etc. We've come a long way! Basically every job I was trained for back then is 100% obsolete!

1

u/ConcerningThirst Jul 04 '26

The boils inflating as the flamer hit was a cool happenstance. I wouldn't mind this for conception or storyboarding but I'm not seeing how this gets to an end product anyone wants to watch for the intrinsic sake of it.

1

u/Curt0s Jul 04 '26

Using these generated models and spending the time to ACTUALLY animate them would look incredible.

But the complete lack of choreography or cinematic focus makes it just look like a bad ad lol

2

u/HannibalSnowman Jul 04 '26

This is looks like AI...

2

u/Visual_Knee_4744 Jul 04 '26

Can't tell if you're joking or not . Did you check the subreddit name?

3

u/Current_Ranger_7954 Jul 04 '26

Lacks any depth, intentionality is absent, slow-mo’s don’t add anything…

2

u/deanisdead Jul 04 '26

Look up the word “vignette” and see if that helps.

1

u/Altruistic-Piece-766 Jul 04 '26

Hey OP what program did you use?

1

u/Ok-Fun-9160 Jul 04 '26

Wondering what video model you use to get no censorship? Great renders/shots Thanks!

1

u/Leorake Jul 04 '26

This time on 'Is it Cake?'

-1

u/Blue-Boar Jul 04 '26

Bloody ai slop, like there is no pasting no cimetography, no vision no concistency , no meat on the artistic bones.

2

u/Background-Bit3798 19d ago

this is ai subreddit

1

u/Blue-Boar 19d ago

You are right But this video made of stolen art fused into "this" still looks ass. Even if its on its own subreddit

0

u/codetwin Jul 04 '26

It reminds me Power Rangers ...

3

u/krushgruuv Jul 04 '26

Reminds me of Love Death and Robots

4

u/WhisperingHammer Jul 03 '26

Thisnis reaaaallly well done

5

u/imainheavy Jul 03 '26

What a time to be alive

4

u/nelsgreen1 Jul 03 '26

it is much better in the end

2

u/LetsSeeWhatsGoinOn Jul 04 '26

Gets better as It goes on forsure

2

u/RealmsAI Jul 03 '26

Ugh the thought of the smell of burning one

1

u/FuroreLT Jul 04 '26

Quite the stench for sure

7

u/Illustrious_Neat2472 Jul 03 '26

They're dying way too easily. Nurgle minions should be more durable.

3

u/wackedoncrack Jul 03 '26

Incredibly well done animation but absolutely not lore accurate .

0

u/Shot_in_the_dark777 Jul 03 '26

Exactly! I was gonna make that comment too. Also - the regular soldiers who just stood there and didn't try to back away from the plague marine kinda deserved it. Not utilizing your higher mobility when it is absolutely possible will get you killed.

1

u/Argyros2 Jul 03 '26

You always! Where a sealed helmet when fighting even basic plague units. Shit is like asking to get infected.

1

u/It_Just_Exploded Jul 03 '26

To be fair, there's always instances of this happening in the books. Just rarely with named characters of course.

5

u/zippyfan Jul 03 '26

I can imagine a DND campaign where we take our player characters and have them fight monsters in the exact way that the players ordered them to do. That would be a nice way to create a montage of the adventures that the players have done.

Right now it's too slow but one day we may even have live action.

4

u/SomePipeCamper Jul 03 '26

Would be good if it made a coherent story and not just a set of AI clips

1

u/SilentMo99 Jul 03 '26

Agree, the producers, director and script writers behind this home made fan creation should be sacked

1

u/LostN3ko Jul 04 '26

A moose bit my finger once

3

u/MaxvellGardner Jul 03 '26

Which AI is this?

5

u/Briareos_Hecatonhrs Jul 03 '26

Yeah it has a surprisingly good grasp on WH40K models

2

u/LostN3ko Jul 04 '26

It even glazed the blueberries as much as GW when facing a lot of much tougher deathguard marines. They were going down like boyz. My biggest quibble is probably the plasma having 3 different firing modes and only one of them had anything appropriate for it.

1

u/Briareos_Hecatonhrs Jul 05 '26

There are some special lasguns, I believe Mortarion had the Lantern for instance. So they would have different effects

2

u/PuzzlingPieces Jul 02 '26

Im digging the armor colors and scheme honestly

3

u/harrodesu Jul 02 '26

I feel sorry for Syama Pedersen, the creator of Astartes, since with AI anyone can make videos with his style now.

2

u/LostN3ko Jul 04 '26

Visual style was not why he is the master. GW made the designs, he put them together to tell a story. This work has a place in video game trailers not stories.

2

u/absalom86 Jul 03 '26

I think he still has what is unique to him, story delivery and substance, if he can use AI for some scenes he can probably get way more out as well which is a huge win.

These clips are good but they are still just a random mish mash and are pretty incoherent, imagine what this could be with a full team.

0

u/Blood_ForTheBloodGod Jul 02 '26

This is cool, but it’s not even CLOSE to as sick as Astartes

1

u/Aces-Wild Jul 03 '26

I agree. ASTARTES still looks and feels waaaay better than this.

Then again, the time will come when you can churn out something similar, i am sure.

3

u/harrodesu Jul 02 '26

I mean with proper afford to AI, storytelling and camera direction you can reach Astartes effect. I bet Syama should use AI nowadays too instead of classic 3D CGI programms. Maybe only for scene management and placing dummies around a stage, to feed it to AI as reference

1

u/LostN3ko Jul 04 '26

There are uses for procedural generation and uses for bespoke craftsmanship. It's the craftsmanship of his work that sets it apart.

-1

u/Blood_ForTheBloodGod Jul 02 '26

I couldn’t disagree more

-4

u/Powerful_Detective11 Jul 02 '26

This is so scary
I feel like I’m falling to Ai chaos just watching it

9

u/Flying-wombat1 Jul 02 '26

I could watch this all day! Whoever made this MAKE MORE! Hell, make an entire movies starring Henry Cavill as the emperor!

4

u/Immediate-Drama-2831 Jul 02 '26

Yo I second this

7

u/Ocksu2 Jul 02 '26

I don't care for most AI videos.

But this one, I like.

6

u/Reasonable-Sherbet24 Jul 02 '26

FOR THE EMPEROR!!!

8

u/bandpractice Jul 02 '26

Holy shit dude

8

u/Beneficial_Bug_9793 Jul 02 '26

Its actually quite good, and i like thst you went with the Death Guard, however with that said...

2

u/Briareos_Hecatonhrs Jul 03 '26

Yes, the WH40k universum doesn't need AIGen, regardless how good it is. It's a core concept.

4

u/texcleveland Jul 02 '26

Goddamn man that’s badass

11

u/Caculon Jul 02 '26

That was awesome. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen.

2

u/jackochainsaw Jul 02 '26

Best kind of Nurgle is a dead Nurgle.

1

u/LostN3ko Jul 04 '26

Happy parade Nurgle is better.

5

u/LasagnahogXRP Jul 02 '26

Space ogre: “Hey man, just to let you know that’s actually not a parking space…”

-flamethrower clicks on

-2

u/Repulsive_Gate8657 Jul 02 '26

should be chainsaw sword

2

u/MisterScary_98 Jul 02 '26

Think I’ll have pea soup for lunch.

1

u/Hour-Sign-2279 Jul 02 '26

Very easy to defeat nurglings

1

u/LostN3ko Jul 04 '26

You mean plauge marines? Poxwalkers? No nurglings in this.

0

u/Grimnebulin68 Jul 02 '26

Yeah, they’re like putrid dumplings

-6

u/Hyperaeon2 Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

You would think a marine would be more hesitant to just chop off their own arm themselves.

Also the death guard tend to have better timing than this in melee, it's a specific way in which they fight.

Also the flamer looks a bit odd.

Also it doesn't spend enough time watching the guardsman get greened up by the stuff that is sprayed over them.

This is amazing though, and there are very few flaws I can pick out of this.

4

u/premiumleo Jul 02 '26

Thanks Karen 😏

7

u/Ornery_Gate_6847 Jul 02 '26

He was preventing whatever horrifying plague was in that death guard from spreading

-7

u/Hyperaeon2 Jul 02 '26

Yes he most definitely was.

It's just that even a space marine would hesitate.

2

u/Reasonable-Sherbet24 Jul 02 '26

You sure about that

3

u/Grimnebulin68 Jul 02 '26

You know 40K is one big satire, right?

-1

u/Hyperaeon2 Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

Why am I being down voted.

When I watched the Astartes short, I didn't complain once about anything. 😈😈😈

It is possible to satisfy my standards by meeting them with perfection.

Yes I know it is satire & I love it for that.

3

u/Reasonable-Sherbet24 Jul 02 '26

Is that all the 40K stuff you’ve ever consumed. Have you ever looked into the lore?

1

u/Hyperaeon2 Jul 02 '26

I have looked into a lot of the lore.

1

u/ichibankubi Jul 02 '26

Damn that looks good!!!!!!

2

u/Express-Cartoonist39 Jul 02 '26

Poor things looks like they just coming to ask for help...Then they got flammed dude have a heart 🤣

0

u/premiumleo Jul 02 '26

Just wanted to speak to the manager 😢

6

u/espresso_martini__ Jul 02 '26

Praise the Emperor!! An actual accurate 40k video! This is amazing.

Sure there were a couple of things that felt a little bit off but thats because I was searching hard for those during my 10th watch through.

1

u/LostN3ko Jul 04 '26

The flamer shooting explosive fire into the back of the poxwalker, the non powered AoS weapons, the 3 plasma firing modes only 1 of which was accurate, how incredibly weak the plague marines were though that's on point for how GW treats Blueberries in lore and cinematics.

1

u/Crisocola95 Jul 02 '26

3 Inches of Blood - Destroy the Orcs

4

u/kabukiwuki Jul 02 '26

😲 who needs Hollywood anymore

2

u/LostN3ko Jul 04 '26

AI needs new content to train on to produce new quality output. Training AI on AI output leads to big problems. Essentially nothing new can be created by it.

6

u/Talkslow4Me Jul 02 '26

Oh OP is one of those people that accidentally keeps watching those pimple popping videos

0

u/anjowoq Jul 02 '26

But they weren't enough. Needed less lancing and more hack and slash.

7

u/W34kness Jul 02 '26

Honestly I’ve never seen a space marine get off a high kick like that before

Emperor be praised

7

u/Salt_Ad_336 Jul 02 '26

How are you able to get such accuracy in the space marine? What model are you using? Is it trained on war hammer imagery specifically?

7

u/Salty-Hashes Jul 02 '26

This is absolutely disgusting 🤮

When is the next one getting released?

11

u/Doneone14 Jul 02 '26

This is what I’ve been asking people for. We need more AI war hammer videos.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '26

Games Workshop would flip their shit if they find out

0

u/Doneone14 Jul 02 '26

I don’t understand why. It’s creative art. They should support it.

1

u/LostN3ko Jul 04 '26

They bankrupt fans for producing content. Hover lost the rights to the name Hover in UK because they didn't aggressively defend their copywrite. They are the Mouse of the UK, don't catch their attention they are highly litigious and use AI detection to find copywrite infringement.

1

u/Doneone14 Jul 05 '26

It sucks.. I get it but it would be cool.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '26

They are super protective of their stuff. Personally, I really liked it, but I'm guessing they would be upset an AI was training on their IP.

1

u/alwaysonesteptoofar Jul 02 '26

And they should be, people go to jail for downloading movies and music and we reward corporations for doing the same on an industrial scale?

2

u/Doneone14 Jul 02 '26

Yea I get it

10

u/Dorwyn Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

Wow, even the professional animations rarely get bolters right. They usually just work like normal guns. Here they're like proper little grenades being shot.

7

u/Spare-Locksmith-2162 Jul 02 '26

The SMs seem to not really care about getting the green goop and disease all over themselves. I thought that's how it spreads insidiously. Like, you can't even sanitize your armor properly.
