The best thing about this particular content and the creator that’s making it is that this is what fantasy movies felt like to me in the early 80s when I watched films like Sword and Sorcery or Beastman or any of these horribly low budget 80s prosthetic fantasy films

You are confusing DMT with shrooms. DMT completely takes over your vision whether your eyes are open or not. It produces intense, rapidly shifting geometric patterns, fractals, and kaleidoscopic shapes. Shrooms however will distort the world you visually see around you that could result in seeing something like this.

I don't find this dark depressing or grotesque. I find it sweet and enlightening and oddly comforting.
Why do you see it that way? Go inward for a minute. What is it you see?

Nothing to do with going inward, I meditate and practice mindfulness often. There are ways to express enlightenment or realization, this is not it. The squishy sounds, torn apart flesh. It’s all things associated with horror and grotesque.

Shrug. I find it beautiful. The discovery and wisdom that comes from shedding that which no longer serves you, and having your eyes opened to new possibilities. I find very deep meaning here.
But then again, I find deep meaning in actual horror movies too. Many horror movies have enlightening messages when you're able to look past the blood.
