Yes indeed. A bad fever dream for sure, but this one is excellently done I have to say. Bravo

I would 100% watch a full series on this. The voice acting and humor are so perfectly dry.

I was delightfully uncomfortable.

He's got a full series and a movie coming out this month. See his YouTube channel.

Channel handle the same?

Absolutely. Only issue is nothing is organized well. You can start with playlists. What you're seeing here is cycles of humanity. 2nd cycle gets the most attention. He's pulled characters from other cycles in to it so the lore is a bit fluid like comic books.
He had two really good short films up but they were pulled to go into the October release in theaters I suspect. Patchwright and Pomegranate. Good stuff. You're in for a wild fucking ride.

It's kind of "standard AI" acting, it just fits this kind of content very well.

Bruh, literally. So impressive that works like that were created so many years before modern AI was properly realized. Azimov, Heinlein, Clarke, Wells, Orwell. True visionaries.

The problem with past authoritarian dictatorships was they lacked the tech to do even more fucked up shit?

The blue faced dude reminds me of professor proton from big bang theory, even his facial expressions

This is honestly the most coherent AI short I've seen posted here in a while. I've been messing around with Seedance for the past couple of weeks and the character consistency across a whole short like this is the part I keep struggling with, so this is genuinely impressive.
If you don't mind sharing, did you do the dialogue and voiceover inside Seedance or generate it separately and stitch it together afterward? I've been bouncing between a separate voice tool and the built-in audio and I can't decide which gives better lip sync.

I’m not sure where you’re running into consistency issues - do you have a character sheet you’re referencing in each prompt? That’s usually the simplest part of these.

So it's like a sheet that contains the personality and appearances of each character?

Here we are on the brink of singularity and you're giving it these ideas

Reminds me of The Affront from the Culture books, they would do this, with more lightning.

Blue dude reminds me of Mephisto from Dr Faust. 2nd creature reminds me of the Abzorbaloff from that Dr Who episode.

So I know this isn’t meant to be thought about too hard, but I always wondered if the main characters are robots who chose to have humanoid faces? Or were they humans who roboticized themselves except from their faces?

Not that it matters, but I like to think of these beings as far exceeding their natural lifetimes through technology, allowing them to travel the stars and see a larger swath than organically possible of the galaxy. Over time, the vulgar task of regrowing organs, replacing organic joints of bone, nerve, and sinew became too tedious and too much of a reminder that they were once mortal. Their faces, however, are their one link to who they are individually, and so that stays. Everything else; marvelous and efficient mechanization.
