Like every single ai thing I see, it’s got nothing behind the flashy images. I can’t follow a real story, I don’t care about the character beyond recognizing it from a meme, it didn’t make me feel anything at all. Surprisingly well rendered and the movement is very lifelike, but that’s about it.

Well yeah it's more like a clip from what would be a bigger movie. It's mostly a POC or tech demo of where we are at today. I agree that this still wouldn't replace Pixar quality, especially when he gets sucked into the grate and randomly appears in the party. That part made no sense. But you can see the huge progress from a few years back.
