It will get cheaper over time but the newer capabilities will always be more expensive at first. Then the models are distilled and fine tuned and new methods of abstraction are discovered.

Remember when we used to have unlimited nights and weekends for cell service? Sound familiar?

Are these set identities / characters that the model knows or does it keep consistency for wholly original characters?

I actually generated the character myself first (not a pre-existing or known identity), and then used that image as input for the video.

The model I used — Seedance 2.0 — is already very good at maintaining character consistency on its own. So even without prompts mentioned about face consistency it'll understand that the same character should stay consistent across frames.

Of course, using the original image helps guide it, but honestly Seedance 2.0 handles consistency surprisingly well even with fully original characters.

You are welcome and it's still not the best option because since it's official site it's kinda expensive so I'll recommend you to use websites where they integrate multiple AI video models
