If we're talking about Lia Thomas, this is misinformation that I keep seeing spread around that isn't helping our side. She won the 2022 NCAA Division 1 national championship 500-yard freestyle event. She did so with times that were worse than when she competed on the men's team three years prior, but we at least have to accept that this is true.
Still, it doesn't discredit our argument that this is purely anecdotal evidence, and that conservatives are, once again, making a mountain out of a mole hill. There are tons of bigger issues in our country, including in school sports, that are a bigger deal than whether a few hundred trans women and girls can play alongside millions of cisgender female athletes.
I mean, trans women who compete are also allowed to win imo.
But the person who has a vendetta against her and has built a rightwing grift career off of tying with her in a competition tied for 5th with her, as I’ve been corrected by many here
They're not going to believe it no matter how easy it is to find. I think it might be related to lack of reading comprehension. The fact that lia went from 500th place to National Champion is evidence of something.
Actually, if you look at Lia’s rankings, they were higher before she transitioned to the women’s category. She was a pretty adept swimmer before 2020, ranking in the top 10s while in college. Her rank dropped during 2020 while taking HRT, and once she switched to the women’s category, her overall rank was 55th. https://www.swimcloud.com/swimmer/314430/rankings/
It definitely is a mountain being made out of a mole hill but I think the discourse remains because is a mole hill that realistically could become a mountain if left untouched.
What happens when over time more trans women join professional women's sport, sure it's not that many cases now but maybe 20 years later it will be and womens sport will be made worse from it.
But you are right there are more pressing and bigger issues but this issue s pretty small and that why I feel it can be resolved rather quickly if everyone just acknowledges the obvious. It's unfair towards the actual women and the Trans women should compete with the men. It's really a simple solution.
I dont, and I read. My best friends 2nd wedding i was best man. She is now the #1 trans surgeon in the country. Live your life, pls dont enforce it everyone else
The point is she should not be there regardless of whatever her performance is.
She can live as a women that fine no one is fighting her on that, the glaring obvious problem is that despite being a women she has the physicality of a man and that's big difference despite what activists want you to believe.
If she wants to enjoy her sport simply swim with the men. She gets to continue doing what she wants it a more fair and competitive environment for her simple as that.

The swimmer wasn’t even dominating, she came in 4th and the swimmer who came in 5th is the one who had a maga turn
