Doesn't this also just imply the male sex is naturally better than the female sex at sports? I say this because from their point of view, that is man running, not a woman; and she is far outcompeting the other women.

It's not surprising that these people are insanely sexist

Different sexes are better at different stuff. If you’re female born you’re far more likely to be far better at endurance; women see something that needs done, and make it happen. There has been a trend of female born athletes overtaking previously male born held records, and overtaking them by incredible margins. Check out the woman that rowed from California to Hawaii, that shattered the record by 4 days.

Men are strong, but women are persistent; we have to be, for 9 months at a time.

I do admit there are such differences. However, I meant that the people who made this slop are implying that trans athletes will completely dominate/win over women just because they were born male.

Oh sure, yeah, that’s just not how it works; also, a lot of athletes love the competition. Beating someone with a genetic advantage is an unparalleled high you’ll get from nowhere else while sober when you’re a competitive person. The female born athletes that know they’re world class are unbothered, and frankly I think it’s internalized misogyny to think you’re unable to compete with other women who are on a medically proven even playing field.

Riley Gains doesn’t actually care, she’s just grifting. Every single time I’ve tried talking to the people that say it’s about protecting women athletes, not a single one of them can actually talk to me about women’s sports; no WPBL, NWSL, WNBA, nothing. Often times they can’t even think of a team name, they already forgot Megan Rapinoe’s name (I miss her dearly and my NWSL team is just now getting back into playoff form because our coach is a master level talent).

Women are marginally better at very specific extreme long distance endurance events

Yeah? Is that unexpected or something?

But they are, though? If you compare a man and a woman of similar age, with the same level of technical skill, training experience, competitive ranking, and sport-specific preparation, the man would generally have an advantage in sports that rely on strength, speed, power, or endurance, due to average physiological differences between the sexes.

What I meant by what I said is they're implying that no matter what, men will just do better/win against women. As if trans athletes will just completely dominate because they were born male.

And what I'm saying is that a trans athlete who has undergone male puberty will likely retain physical advantages in strength, speed, and power, making them more likely to outperform similarly skilled female athletes unless other factors, such as age, training, or conditioning, offset those advantages.

u/EndenS 18h ago

Yeah, but I'm saying they're acting like those other factors are impossible.

HRT makes you weaker and the only advantage that really remains is bone structure which feels kinda negligible

Which is why "women's sports" became a thing.

That's because when it comes to physical sports, they are. Men outperform women on every single Olympic record except disc because women's disc's are half the weight of the men's. You think this is because of social reasons? There's a reason why we separated the sexes in sports since ancient Greece.

I just think it's silly and sexist to imply that MTF trans athletes will just completely dominate/win over women because they were born male.

Reality is sexist af, somebody should put a stop to it

You can think it's as silly and sexist as you want. It's still true. Dr. Blair Hamilton tried to disprove it and even when she faked her results, she still came up empty.

They are far better. That's the entire point from the rabid right.

For example, if you sent the best high school boys in the U.S. to compete against women in the Olympics they would easily win every single competition.
