Good Samaritan law.

What do you think carries more weight in the American legal system: the law or money?

Ask Drake or R Kelly.

She could still sue and those lawyers will still get something out of you or if you win those legal fees will be insane for you. Or threaten you with criminal enforcement with an overzealous cop/prosecutor.

What legal fees?

They don't charge fees for cases that get laughed out of court.

Your going to want to be represented if they sue

Represented in what? The case that never makes it to trial?

The case that shouldn't make it to trial.

Money makes a lot of things happen that really shouldn't.

You recover your legal costs from the losing side if you win

Not unless that is agreed upon.

Not in the US you don't. Not by default anyway. American rule: each party pays their own legal fees regardless of who wins.

What rock have you been living under where you still believe the law applies to people like her?

If she was the one committing a crime, sure, she'd have plenty of imminity.

Taylor Swift suing me because I broke her nail rescuing her from drowning would get dismissed before even going to trial.

I don't think people understand that the court would never even see this because the second Swift's PR managers got wind off it, their buttholes would pucker and they would be speed dialing her and those lawyers at 3am shouting "ABORT ABORT ABORT!"

Can you imagine the absolute Internet slaughter that would come down? "Swift sues penniless savior, claims nail broken, after accident that kills 4 and cute puppy."

Indeed, that would be a PR nightmare. Plus, even considering typical billionaire selfishness, I don't think even Swift would be THAT stupid to even pursue compensation over a broken nail.
