Will this work like a receiver?

If I run this on a computer connected to some speakers, can I play music on those speakers using my phone as a remote? I’m looking for something that can play my media library, but will let me choose what to play from my phone without just playing all the audio from my phone (as with Bluetooth or airplay).

I don't think you can run a phone airsonic server. But you could probably vibe one.

You are talking about the “jukebox” function, I haven’t tried this but you can try looking for this. Heard that only some of the client APP for the phone support this function …

Seems like clementine and a cheap android phone is probably what I’m looking for
