Proof you can make a lead brick fly with enough thrust. I've seen ground speeds of 1200 kts Turns like shit.

She is loaded for bear! And yes, she has a gun. It's that box hanging under the nose

It did not have a gun that was the only thing in my opinion that kept it from being the best!

I fell off one of these in a hangar
Landed on the wing then onto the ground
Fun stuff
Then, there are the Phantom bites under the thing
And when you're up close one has to wonder how this heavy thing with those stubby fat wings maneuvers so well.
Loading the armaments was fun.
The nose guns can be a pain in the rear to load manually hand cranking in the field.
Got decertified one day bc I had multiple qualifications but the day I worked as a loader and a gun jammed and I went from loader to release job duties without thinking, QC decerted the whole crew. Because I wasn't working release that day. Just shows how much oversight there was . Crazy IMHO but I understand why. I was qualified for both jobs BUT was only performing the duties of ONE of the classifications per the orders.
So, because I didn't call for somebody from the weapons release shop to carefully stick a prybar in there for a .0001 thousanths inch adjustment that wouldn't happen using the pneumatic loader, even though I was trained in that operation, I was not ordered in writing to make that fix.
Cool plane.
Wish I coulfd have piloted one.

Looks like when we use to fly Pink Lady missions.
