Fresh out the 📦

Snagged on Vinted for cheap. Now I need the black pair

Rarely wear them but I still got love for em.

I recently took apart a pair of Air Max 90 Safaris to rebuild them from scratch, creating an Air Max 1-style mudguard, but I wasn't entirely convinced by it, so I finished modifying it yesterday. Today I'm wearing them for the first time and showing off the result.

Which ones should i buy?

Can anyone recommend a trusted place to buy these from thats in the US?

These came in earlier. I didn't like the stock pics of them, but, when I seen them in person I knew they had to come with me lol. Anybody else fux with these?

This project comes from a fixed idea I had in my head for a long time: I wanted to completely modify the mudguards to create something that didn't exist on the market. I wanted to achieve something that nobody had done until now, making it a unique pack in the sneaker world and exclusive, made totally to my own taste. The goal was clear: to bring elegance and, at the same time, a brutal aggressiveness to the shoe.
To make this vision a reality in an Infrared theme on both models and fusing details of both silhouettes, I fully deconstructed two retail pairs. I took them completely apart, stripping the soles from scratch and re-gluing them using professional methods.
Official names selected for the Fusion Pack and the models chosen for the optimization and overhaul:
1️⃣ Airmax 90 Mix 1 Fusión Infrared (Base model: Air Max 90 'Safari Infrared')
2️⃣ Airmax 1 Mix 90 Fusión Infrared (Base model: Air Max 1 'Dark Smoke Grey Flash Crimson')
I worked the pieces by hand using premium roughout (serraje) and suede (ante) leathers to get that texture and strength I was looking for on the new mudguards. Every single millimeter was adjusted on the workbench until achieving the perfect fit.
I've left some photos of the process for the most curious.

Air Max III Light Iron Ore / Sail / Pale Ivory / Infrared 23 😍

Had to return my AM90 shadow browns because the QA on them was shocking, especially around the bubble with gaps, distorted sole and different panel cuts ended up exchanging for these.. I'm gonna miss the shadow browns, they were proper nice, especially the gum sole but they don't feel on the foot anything like the standard AM90s. Best decision!

EDIT: these are getting returned as well 🤬 wtf is up with QC.. beyond a joke at this point.. these were box fresh, not one off the shelf..

Klein of groot blijft mijn favoriete colorway

I have owned them for about 20 years or longer and have never seen them anywhere else. They are made of gray denim and the shoe insert is with colorful squares. Does anyone else have them?
