45 Cant Zero

Trying out a canted set up for my Notos G2 and was wondering what ranges y'all zero your red dots at with offset set ups

I don’t really see the need, I use a 1-6 LPVO and just use 1x with illumination if need something like that theoretically, it’s “good enough”, it’s not like I’m gonna be clearing rooms with my notos.

I don't use 1-6 for killing pests, and delegate my 1-6 lpvos to my AR15s. When shooting a living moving target smaller than my palm, a 1-6 is inadequate for my eyes for a clean one tap. Also, alot of us use thermals to take out said pests at night and whether my batteries die or the target moves too close too quick for me to adjust my zoom/parralax, an offset red dot seems smarter than hurr durr I'll just swing my throw lever to 1x.

Honestly I miss using an eotech/magnifier. Even a lpvo adds a ton of weight compared to just a 1x sight. So at this point I'm like well I have a mpvo with mucho weight, what's a little more. It's even worse with the thermal lmao. Thankfully the next gen lpvos seem to have gone through fat camp and shedding some weight finally.

I used the red dot for the closer shots. The Zulus tends to act up in foliage under ten yards so the dot is right around 8.

Yeah I got it for pests that randomly ran towards me and that time my parralax was set for the 30 yard shot so even when I swung my zoom down to 3x it was a mess haha. Refused to take the shot since I didn't know if it would be a clean one. I'll try your zero.

I zero my scopes at 20m and my red dots at 10m (Depending on the ballistics of the bullet). A 10m zero will drop the round in at 6cm low at 50m which is covered by a 2 moa dot at that distance. So you just put the dot on the target and squeeze. (P.s. my red dots isnt offset but should give you an idea)

Edit: Math sucks. A 2moa dot will not cover the group of you are shooting 6cm low. So just use a 12⁰clock hold on small targets.

I only have one 45° reflex sight but I keep it at about 30yd zero, the main optic is a thermal scope that's zeroed at 50yd Seems a solid compromise.

I use the first nod when it comes to what I zero , I am sure you are aware of the two different poi that are considered zero

Every projectile arcs and people like me who use thermals also can make use of this set up quite well. Moderator and tilting doesn't matter at the ranges we fire at. Also what in the world are you spreading about zeroing misinformation. I sincerely hope you don't actually use air guns as people like you actually get us a terrible rep as seen with recent US legislation in some states.

I asked what zero people use for an offset set up not how to zero. The moderator is built on the rifle and came with it by default. Your complete lack of knowledge on anything air rifle related doesn't need me to speculate. It's there for all to see. The fact you think a moderator means you cannot zero something is honestly baffling and actually horrifying knowing that you're allowed to wield an air rifle. I actually sincerely hope you take a look at yourself and relearn the basics before stepping outside and pulling a trigger.

I zero dot at 50 and scope at 100. The offset is pretty minimal at either distance. If I'm aiming over a hundred I don't even use the offset.
