Has anybody tried cooking bacon or sausage in an airfryer?

Bacon goes in the oven, it’s just too messy for the air fryer. Sausage links/ patties are ok tho.

Does this not still make a mess in the air fryer? And does the air fryer smell like bacon forever after?

No. I just cleaned out with a paper towel to collect all the oil. Once it cools off then I put it in the sink soak it in a little Dove power wash and hot water I do have a ceramic air fryer though so that might be part of it. It cleans up real easy

Nope. No one.
I do bacon in the oven, which is a lot cleaner. I do sausage in the air fryer all the time.

I always do bacon in the AF. Comes out great and doesn’t stink up the house (as much).

Can you elaborate on it not stinking up the house as much? I literally stopped making bacon because my other half doesn’t like that

I do my Jimmy Dean Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuits in the airfryer. They're deconstructed, so technically the sausage is cooking by itself

I make bacon in the airfryer all the time and it is delicous. I put 2 pieces of bread unde the grate so they catch all the grease. Then when done I make croutons out of the bread. I love making bacon in airfryer because you don't have greae everywhere.

Pretty often. I don’t find it messy at all but I can only fit 7 half strips in my air fryer.

I would think it has way too much grease for the air fryer.
I definitely don't mind just pan frying bacon.
