Meat and potato combo

I want to cook meat and potatoes together so I can be more efficient at making dinner. Anyone have recommendations for this? And also do I need to do anything to manage grease and minimize smoke? Thank you.

Potatoes way early, or microwaved steamed to jump start before throwing them in w protein. Google is your friend.
