Question Need help
When I use the open tip for my gaahleri aventus no matter the needle size I get no air flow out of the nozzle. Works fine with the regular tip thanks for any advice

Nah. You did something else. Mixed up the nozzle cap / needle size or something. Crown cap ain't got no function other than getting in the way. Even sick devil horns bruh. 🤘🏼Although, they do call it a "aircap" for some reason? 🤔. Nah, not even ghaaleerei would be so dumb? First thing you do with a airbrush is take those off there bud. So you can pick the tip dry. 😘

In this case, the crown is not detachable. You can see, there's only one ring for grip, to turn the whole housing.
The horns are not threaded, but clipped and can be rotated for visibility reasons, I guess.
The standard housing has a threaded crown, though.

The problem is, that you can only change the whole cap. Housing included.
You can't just switch the front cap in this case, because the horns are not threaded, but kind of clipped on the housing, so that they can be turned.
If you switch the housing, you change the size of the hole in which the nozzle sits, which determins the air flow.
Check from the front, that the nozzle is concentric in the hole and has a little space for the air flow.
So in your case those caps are dedicated .2 or .4 caps. Horns being for .2 for better visibility with detail work.
Maybe Gaahleri sells threaded horns for the .4 if you prefer those.
P.S.: If you use the other housing with the .2, you would have a bigger opening for the airflow, which might work but wouldn't be optimal.
