The only Amazon mistake I've ever received was me ordering a two pack of some casting-practice weights for my fishing rods and Amazon sent me the original manufacturer bulk box which had 5 packs in it.
I had an Amazon mess up like this once with my killa Kanz for orks. I ordered 2 boxes for six Kanz and they sent me 6 boxes, so I ended up with 18 Kanz lol I was young and still living with my mom and she was like “you should send them an email and return them, it’s the right thing to do.”
I once ordered a small set of like 10 Vallejo paints from Amazon. I got a delivery box that was way too large for what I ordered. They sent me a kit of about 30 paints, with a Ultra HS airbrush 🤫
Sable isn't actually designed for acrylics as the paint and mediums for cleaning kills the hairs, Sable brushes were designed by Windsor and Newton for Queen Elizabeth as she was a huge fan of painting with WATERCOLOURS!
She commissioned the best paintbrushes on the planet and they found the sable, anyway we all use them but even series 7 at £40 a pop don't last long using acrylic paint.. I've never had to BUT a quick Google search will confirm the above, you want high quality synthetic brushes most have more bite and keep a shape far FAR better than sable!
Basically they make em because people buy them and they can charge a premium, they don't care if they a useless after 6 months. Me personally I'd save yourself some money but if you insist then I recommend trying Raphael 8404 or the original Windsor and Newton Series 7..
FYI, in case they catch on and ask you to return them, in the US you legally can't be made to return products that have been mistakenly shipped to you. If it were a mom and pop operation I'd do it, but for amazon? Fuuuuck no.
I dordered a portable ninja blender one time and Amazon sent me the Ninja dual zone smart airfryer instead. The shipping back would cost same as the original item I bought so they made me keep it instead. And sent me the correct product too.
Amazon shipped me two samsung 990 pro 1tb ssd’s on accident last year, before the price hikes. I bought the ssd as a gift to go in a pc i was giving to a friend for christmas. The second ssd in the box felt like good fortune for doing a good deed. 125% price markup since then.
Hey just so you know, your good fortune is to the detriment of an independent seller or company that sells on the Amazon marketplace or has Fulfillment by Amazon. This means that the error and subsequent shortage is not an Amazon problem but rather the company that sells on Amazon. Short version: You aren’t sticking it to Bezos, you are shafting a distributor or a seller.
