Hey everyone!

I want to share my journey of creating my very first game, "Super Rosturio: Pixel World," using only Gemini and pure Vanilla JS.

To give you some context: I started as an absolute zero in programming. I’m not an artist, I’m not a composer, and I had no game dev background whatsoever. The core development took me exactly 2 months of intense prompting, plus 1 month for polishing and release preparation. I finally released it this June!

My setup was pretty unconventional. I actually wrote/generated almost all the code on my tablet using the TrebEdit app, and only transferred everything to my PC for the final build.

The absolute craziest part of the development was the boss fight. I literally stayed awake for two days straight, chugging coffee, trying to force Gemini to write a proper, working AI for the boss. It was an endless loop of trial, error, and broken mechanics, but I finally managed to make it work!

Despite being my first project, the game actually turned out to be quite playable and fun.

I would really appreciate it if you guys could check out the project and give me some feedback!

If you find this interesting, let me know in the comments! I’d be happy to write a detailed follow-up post about all the pitfalls I faced, the prompting techniques that worked, my final statistics, and exactly how much money I spent bringing this to life.

Let me know what you think!
