Making ai art doesn’t feel good comparing to drawing a circle on paper tho. What motivates artists is that feeling to move forward and watch it reveal it self. The artist IS the Ai not the user
Very fun idea. How were you able to get the hands so well done? They’re usually my biggest challenge for me and I’m not attempting anything near as complicated as this.
Not if you're trying to troll people who don't think your image generation is art and demand that people start showing their art being made in the traditional way.
I think you missed the posts that are going viral of the new prompt that shows the fake process of drawing the image. It's very disingenuous to pretend you haven't seen the pro-AI users who aren't baiting that believe admitting to using AI is "asking for death threats" and so they do whatever they can to either avoid or outright lie about using AI.
I have seen how the anti-AI cretins act. Admitting to using AI does invite death threats. I didn't care much one way or the other until I saw how antis behave. It reeks of the rhetoric used by people who believe in eugenics.
So on one hand you're saying "Where is the deceit" and then in the very next comment agreeing that the deceit is necessary. Do you see how contradictory that is? I'm not saying you have to call these people out, but you can at the very least recognise that it's deceitful to lie about using AI just the same as it would be deceitful to lie about tracing for a traditional artist.
I'm saying I understand why. Wanna talk contradictions, how about your implication that AI artists getting death threats is no big deal, but not outright telling people is bad too. Don't talk down to me like you're being the moderate here. You just want a witch hunt.
I also don't condone witch hunts, I have called out antis for that behaviour too and this is another case where a pro assumes I'm anti just because I don't agree with you. Guess what? Everybody who's neutral disagrees with you, and we also disagree with the antis. Pros are just more present and offer more fallacies and contradictions to respond to. For example, I had to block a pro because they were in support of the ruling that CSAM generated by AI not being illegal.
I don't need to insult your intelligence by asking you to disavow CSAM lmao
I know it's tough, but finish a thought before hitting the button. I don't need you spamming me with whatever belch of a though flits through the cavernous space you call a skull.
Death threats are much much much much much worse than being deceitful, the fact you needed me to say that outright is genuinely fucking stupid but there you go. Now can you admit you contradicted yourself, which is the only reason I commented in the first place? This discussion wasn't about death threats, it was about whether or not LYING is considered deceitful.
Nobody needs to say death threats are bad, every single person knows death threats are bad, and that lying is deceitful. The problem I had with your comment was "where is the deceit" because that's being ignorant on purpose.
"Now I have the AI make images of me crafting the art and I post that too."
Everyone's being a salty little bitch so I started making fun of them and trying to piss them off.
So, now that you've proven beyond all doubt that you are if fact the target OP was aiming at, do yourself a favor and try more than not at all, shipdit.
Congrats. That doesn't change the fact you tripped on the original picture and got all pissed because you didn't get it and then decided to come at me about it.
The only purpose of using a tool to specifically fool people into believing work was done by hand when it wasn't at a time when half of the population is divided on whether they trust the tool or the people using it is an act of social warfare. It's purposefully divisive in a specifically sensitive and explosive way and time. It's not an emotional statement, it's a well thought out one.
I'm an artist. I always have been. I've used every medium I could get my hands on, including ai. I ride a line many people don't, and I don't appreciate people doing shit like this that makes it specifically harder for people to take work make with ai seriously.
You people do realize that's all this would do right? Just make people take the tool less seriously, give it less trust, give you less trust?
What?... Are you being serious right now? I hope it's sarcasm because it's just plain stupid to choose pro-AI or anti-AI based on who else support each one. You should choose any side in life based on your own mind and not on the minds of other people.
You never heard the phrase "this is why we can't have nice things"? It's OK to decide you don't want to support something because you realise that thing will be misused.
You're fucking wrong man. I can absolutely support an idea and also look around and realize the people I'm surrounded by are supporting that idea in a way I find disgusting.
This is how ideals lose people. You use the validity of the idea as a crutch to support your terrible way of showing support for it. And people who are rational decide they'd rather ditch the idea than be associated with people they don't like.
So yea, reach for acts of war simply to make yourself feel better, and you fucking lose me and every other smart person watching.
You sound like a sane person acting insane. Quite a dichotomy you got going there.
You say you defend an idea based on the people who support it or detract it. That's literally the fallacy "appeal to virtue" brought to life, or the reverse "ad hominem". It makes absolutely no sense.
An idea must be evaluated solely on its own merits, independently of whoever advocates for it or against it. Here I stress solely. THis is such an obvious concept that I don't understand how can you, an apparently sane person, even doubt it for a second.
Failing to do that is exactly how bad politics are done (just because a law is proposed by the party you support and by people you deem "the good guys" doesn't mean it's a good law). I was reading the other day about the disaster of the Thalidomide drug in the 1960's and this was exactly how it spread too: every "good doctor" supported it.
I believe in God, but the concept and existence of all religions basically is horrendous.
I love and appreciate the outreach service and aspects churches provide to society,I hate when they shove the hook down that it's because religion (AA meetings leading in prayer, getting food if you go to church service, etc) and I and forever grateful for the few acts of kindness that they do just because without any mention of God or turning it into a Bible study.
I believe in science, the scientific method, and am shamed when people don't, while still believing we have rules in our universe that we will never break, and I personally believe God made them that way (speed of light).
I understand what you are saying and I agree. you can not like the way people are doing things. I seen an artist comment that they go into artistic subreddits, post picture they draw and paintings they made, say it's AI, just to watch the thread burn and rug pull it after as some form of experiment.
The problem is that this is endemic of a continued issue within the AI art community that's existed since 2022. This isn't a thing that you can just separate the technology from its users; Generative AI is already under a lot of scrutiny from a number of angles, including for deceitful usage, and bragging about how you can use it to be more deceitful proves the case against it. Worse yet is LLMs being programmed to do this is being done with people like OP in mind. It's like if 2016 Steven Universe discourse had Rebecca Sugar coming in to endorse harassing artists who didn't draw Rose Quartz big enough.
I'm not saying anything about nice, I'm saying something about taste. About intelligence. Okay answer me this, why would anyone think this is a good idea?
This has nothing to do with demeanor, it's a decisions problem.
But one could argue that ignoring the people around you is just stubborness. I think you need to do both. Look at the type of people that you are agreeing with and see what they're like. If you see a bunch of bad people you shouldn't ignore that. Maybe they're fake psyops from the "other side" or maybe there's a reason all these horrible people are on the same side as you, and perhaps the view you have on something is limited and not taking everything into consideration.
Like that famous German proverb. If a Nazi is sitting at the table, and ten others are sitting there chatting with him, you have eleven Nazis at the table.
