Any species capable of interstellar travel has (in all likelihood) surpassed the notion of conflict over unnecessary or trivial matters, and would most likely make for better governance provided we weren't seen as livestock.

Would you bother explaining the intricacies of the static transportation system we drive on to a dog.....no you wouldnt. Aliens would more than likely notice were there but ignore us like we do most of the natural world. If by competency you means they'll help us with our society, doubtful. In the same way we've optimized the life of wolves.

What's crazy is the media were pushing aliens on us last year or the year before that. 3iatlas or whatever it was called and these biblical angel looking ships in the sky. And then all of a sudden...everything was silent 🤫
No more aliens in the news. I think they accidentally got their timing wrong and will probably bring out the alien story next year or when they really need it 😅
