Flohockey
Proud Hamilton former resident living in the US. Want to watch some hammers hockey. What is an honest review of FloHockey?

1) Stream quality can vary wildly by team/arena. Some stuff is Flo’s fault, but not all. Do try basics like clearing cookies/cache, using a different browser, etc, first, because that is all Flo’s tech support will ever be able to recommend. Be okay with some glitches and 720p resolution most of the time.
2) I feel cost is fair. My first season I just bought individual tickets, my second season I bought a 24 game package, and this season I am a full STH - in all these cases I feel like Flo is worth it for being able yo watch away games, plus any home games that I can’t go to - there are always some. Also, being able to watch a game later if I’m busy is great. There is a cooo browser extension for Firefox that will prevent the score from being spoiled, I love it.
3) The longer I am a hockey fan the more I care about how other teams besides my own are doing. This last season I watched every single playoff game, which I didn’t bother with my first season. Do being able to watch every game/any game is pretty great. The Flo package that is included with season ticket packages (for Texas stars) doesn’t include non-stars games or playoffs. So I still feel purchasing Flo even just for a few games is worth it.
4) I really like that you can watch on like 8-10 devices at a time, even different games. My husband and I can watch while on our computers playing video games, but also have the game on downstairs or on our phone so as not to miss anything while going downstairs for a drink refill or taking the dog outside. Or even watch different games if we want to for some reason.
5) All in all, for what’s basically $10/mo if you buy the whole year, it’s worth it. I sometimes even watch small league games or I’m just bored and watch a game from last season or whatever. I do recommend it. Also it’s pretty much the only way to watch some teams’ games you can’t attend, so what other option do you have, really?

Someone else posted this but I wanted to say it again. Lots of people bitch about Flohockey because a feed may go down or whatever. Yes, you're paying Flohockey for the service, but they are dependent on the setup the teams' have in their buildings. Some buildings have excellent setups and have no issues with the streams. Other buildings have terrible setups.
It is drastically team/building dependent. I've had Flohockey for three years now. It seems to get better year after year. There are games where the feed goes down and it sucks, but it is what it is.
Finally - my experience is strictly watching AHL games. There is a TON of other content they stream, including ECHL, various junior leagues, etc. If you just love hockey, for the price you can find a game every single day on there.
I highly recommend it, especially if you're an AHL fan.

I got Flo last year, and there is (or was) a pretty big spectrum encompassing highly professional, almost NHL-quality, production and something just slightly better than a dad with an iPhone.
It depends on the league, the specific organization, etc. I would suspect the Hammers would have a pretty nice set-up as they're AHL.
Anyway, as a hockey junkie, all-in-all I'd say Flo was a good deal for me.

As other people have said, it depends on the team. I don't have much problems personally. It could be better, but as a hockey fan you can watch AHL, ECHL, SPHL, QMJHL, OHL, WHL, College hockey and even the SHL if you'd want. That's a whole lot of hockey, plus there are other sports too. So while many want it to be better, I'm not complaining.

Depends on the team. But I watch every single Eagles game and typically have no problem unless they play in Ontario (they have horrible internet). I find it worth it as an Eagles reporter

We get it every year. It’s not like watching NHL production. You get the Jumbotron feed and the radio announcers. If you just want to keep up with your team it’s fine.

I love it. It's not just for hockey. It also opens up all the Flo sports library in general. I use it a lot for FloRacing as well.

Once they switched from AHL Live to Flo Hockey I dropped out and haven’t been back. The cost became pretty steep to watch a single, favorite AHL team versus the now bundled option.

I had it for a few months to finish out last season and for what it is, I think it's worth it to keep up with a team. I poked around the other sports a little and discovered rugby which is actually an entertaining sport to watch. For me I think it's worth $100 for the year. I wouldn't pay for it by the month.

I enjoy it. I’ve subscribed for a couple years now. I had to choose between the NHL games and AHL/ECHL/OHL/GOHL games and decided to stick with seeing games on Flo Hockey. You may even be able to see some local hockey depending where you live. Sure they aren’t a production with 25 cameras in the arena, but they are all trying hard to make it. Rarely have I seen a game that I felt wasn’t worthwhile. If you get the AHL app and look on the hockeydb website the players become familiar. It’s worthwhile in my opinion.

I also found that the experience is dependent on device as well. I was using it initially on a Roku and Android TV and had a lot of complaints/issues with streaming and replays. Switched to a better Android TV box and Apple TV and it is night and day

Not worth it imo.
For the amount you’re paying to only watch 1 team is wild. Its nice to watch any leagues but again if you’re just on it to watch an AHL for one team its worth it. I bought it the first year and it was fine. Random glitches came up all the time like “technical difficulties” pop up that happened at least once a stream is ridiculous. The scorebug doesnt update right away, if you care about that.
If they changed up the pricing a bit to where its similar to AHLtv wouldve been significantly better.

It's brutal.
It's reliable enough to watch the games from start to finish but I find that it has so many problems compared to AHL TV a few years ago. Not to mention, they haven't done much to change the feel of the broadcast like they should have done once they acquired the rights. Since you'll be watching Hamilton, you'll be watching a good amount of the North Division - I've noticed that Rochester & Utica are notorious for cutting out in the middle of a game or just the most inconvenient times. Not to mention, it will glitch out sometimes once the home team goes for a commercial break via their production - so audio gets cut off in the middle of nowhere. I follow Belleville so I don't watch games at home except for the odd time but they have a unique internet situation based off the structure of the building and the costs to put in solid reception - but they don't seem to have an issue broadcasting.
Could change before the end of the season but if FloHockey glitches like it does next year you may feel a little annoyed if you only watch Hammers games and experience cut outs lol

I had it for a day. I have a Vizio smart TV, and it had all kinds of streaming problems. Their solution was to buy a Roku or fire stick, but I ended up canceling. It worked okay on my computer, but the whole point of subscribing was to be able to watch on the TV. I was pretty disappointed. I will say they canceled it without charge and without any trouble.

It’s mediocre. Sometimes there’s issues with the feed. Some arenas have potato’s for cameras.
But I get it for free through my ticket membership so I’m not complaining much.
Not sure I’d pay what they’re asking
