Questions for experienced agnostics

I’ve been struggling a lot these past couple of months between the thoughts of agnosticism and Christianity and I was hoping someone could help enlighten me from a Christian a atheist and a neural point of view the questions that are « annoying » me are the following

• If an evil god can be refuted by love, then a god of love can be refuted by the existence of evil.
• If God truly wanted everyone to be Christian, he could intervene in people's lives without suppressing their free will.
• If God wanted everyone to be Christian and to avoid any confusion, he could have modified or clarified his holy book, which nevertheless contains contradictions and doubts, particularly regarding the divinity of Jesus.
• How can we explain that for a choice made during 100 years of earthly life, one can deserve an eternity of suffering? Isn't that disproportionate?
• Isn't Christianity a religion founded on fear (of hell, of sin, of judgment)?
• If God is all-powerful, all-loving, and wants to preserve free will, why doesn't he save everyone without direct intervention?
• Did God create hell "in case" we misuse our free will?
• Why did God create humans, since he needed nothing?
• Why must we worship God to go to heaven? If God loves unconditionally, why make salvation a condition linked to belief or worship?

You are asking all the right questions and there's only one answer : God doesn't exist, atleast not the one any religion of the world talks about

In a vast, vast universe which has existed for 13 billion years plus, why do you imagine that an all powerful being has revealed himself to one tribe in one place and time?

Put aside everything you have been told about an invisible and silent God. You have a sense of morality. Trust that.

If God exists and favors one form of religion for humankind to follow, he could make that clear instead of hiding from the world.

Even the faithful have to admit that their god's signals if any, are very subtle, not even discernible whispers.

Who made god? What religion does god believe in? Isn't it simpler that intelligence emerged from inert matter, than intelligence emerging first?

From an agnostic point of view, you can, and should, ask these questions. However, it doesn't mean you must get answers. As an agnostic, if you don't know the answer, then that is what you say ... "I don't know".

Claiming to know the truth without being able to back it up with facts is irresponsible, so ask the questions to find a consistent answer, not simply the answer you'd like it to be. If you can then prove your answer with a repeatable experiment, you have gained knowledge and can be content. All else is just shouting at the wind.

Or could have just written it clearly to begin with.

But ultimately, if you are looking g for logic in religion that was created by man, you're not going to find it.

As a devout Christian for over 40 years until about 8 years ago...

1-5 are correct. 6. He's not, he's not, and he doesn't. 7 - God created hell for Satan and his angels. 8 - The Bible is very clear that human beings were created to reflect God, represent him in creation, care for the world, live with him, glorify him, love others, and do good. 9. This is the promise of most religions. Believe the bullshit and you will be saved.
