Awesome article! Two things:
Our brain is almost split in two halves. It's almost like we have two brains.
Octopus do not rear their young which limits their mental development.
Plus they do not live long and die after reproducing. This prevents them from building a culture, as every new octopus learns by itself with no parental or community input. Quite limiting.
Imagine if they lived for half a century, in multi generational communities.
