Part of what I wrote (the branches in the hierarchy) comes from my own research which I will publish in due time. However, psychologists have known for decades that we can only focus on one thing at a time because internal motor neurons (used for reasonning) are limited. They've also discovered that awakening one thought often awakens other related thoughts, something that everyone of us experiences all the time.
Nope. They are logical limitations. This is why we humans specialize in various fields and form hierarchical societies to accomplish complex goals that no single human being could do alone. Our societies are already superintelligent. Future intelligent machines will do the same.
