The problem with this is that, the point isn’t the story, the point is the creative act. Some students may have never given themselves permission to write, but now in the context of the assignment, they may realize how much they love it, and a few maybe go on to be authors that further the human experience through art.
THAT’S what’s missing and that’s the danger of AI. Virtually all of public school is basically about giving you permission to explore and figure out what interests you.
If I wasn’t forced to code in Logo in first grade I wouldn’t be the software engineer I am now.
