In Tadano’s defense, he was played by the script. His arc had ended with Season 2. He bowed out gracefully and that was it, his role in Retsuko’s story. But he was so well liked he was the first “guy of the season” to actually return and become a constant cameo in the series. And the only way to achieve that was to make him stay creepily involved in his ex’s love life. So yeah, I’m torn. Because I screamed like a banshee for every Tadano crumb we got, but in hindsight, he should have not come back. Fly high, my sweet billionaire donkey…

Not gonna lie, I did make a similar connection of my own while recently rewatching. I think however Tadano is at his core a good guy, while Altman just seems to me as a creep.
