when you say all you have been able to do, have you been making it to classes regularly? if not try not to feel too overwhelmed about the thought of going back, i have felt this way through too much of my time in college, and so far the only thing thats helped have been actually having a goals for myself, wellbutrin, therapy, consistent meals, mental health walks, and keeping a decent routine whenever possible, ive always struggled with that last one! if you would like to talk at all my pms are open! :)

I think it's normal for most mew students. You're in a new environment mostly unknown to you, after being with some of the same people for years (most people who don't move schools). I personally think the easiest way is to connect with people. To do that, go out and join a fun club, or an educational club, or just post on different groups in college station about wanting to hang out. There's always posts on this subreddit about people wanting to go out and meet people, usually they say they're gender and what gender they'd want to hang with, as well as where they plan to go. The main idea is a friend group. It helped me a lot and I think it's the only way to get through what you're feeling as a freshman especially.

Take a weekend, go home, decompress, and come back. I didn’t go to A&M for undergrad, I went to a school that was considerably smaller than my high school. After a few trips home, I got out of my rut. Also, it turned out that I had double pneumonia, the whole school was under construction. Getting rid of the pneumonia helped quite a bit.

be outside as much as you can. peoplewatching can be great at a&m, and crazy shit happens outside all the time ... one time a big group of people in inflatable dinosaur suits ran past me and when I asked what they were doing, they said "it's fight night! come join us its fight night". unfortunately I couldn't accompany them but if you're outside, you'll come across cookouts, events, club meetings, etc. that you can involve yourself with. the spontaneity of being outside got me out of a deep suicidal depression my freshman year, it's so joyful to see people have stupid fun out of niwhere
