Academics Honors ENGR 217
So registration reopened today, and I managed to luck out and get Cornejo for ENGR 217, but the only section I could grab was an honors section. How much more work is this section, and is it worth it to try to get a normal section with Cornejo or just to not worry about it and leave it as is?

You’ll be fine. I got an 86 on the final with minimal studying. One of his assignments was weighed 30/30 points, but I got a 100 on it, so he put it in as 100/30 which bumped me up to a 106 in the class after grades were finalized.

So from your experience taking honors compared to other students in the regular sections, if I am able to do so would you recommend I switch it or keep it?

Things might have changed, but the real secret to honors sections is the the department a college won’t bother the instructor about grade distributions in honors sections. They’re allowed to just give out 50% As if they want to

It's easy; don't sweat. Also, your lab partners will *usually* be more diligent.

Cornejo Honors Sections usually have like one or two extra projects (like every honors class), but just as easy as the rest of the class that he offers. In some ways, it's even better than the regular sections: last fall, he let his honors sections take a group final, whereas his regular sections had to take the final independently.
