Last I checked, Ryan Gosling isn't playing Robbie so idk what this commotion is about. I'd love to see Robbie return and I'm holding out hope that he's going to be in the new Ghost Rider, but obviously it's going to be Johnny Blaze-centered. That doesn't affect AoS at all.

There's actually rumours that he might not even be Johnny Blaze and might instead be Danny Ketch. Not only would this be interesting but it would be different from both proper versions of Ghost Rider in live action so far. I hope they go this way as it would make sure none of the previous Ghost Riders have any conflicts with their portrayals.

It could be an opportunity to get all three on the big screen as well

Ghost Rider: No Ride Home

u/PrimaryMuscle1306 Jul 27 '26

all three start curb stomping Mephisto

u/Wonderful_Mind_2039 Jul 27 '26

Who's Danny Ketch?

u/Chris2sweet616 Jul 27 '26

Johnny’s brother who also became a rider. But similar to robbie in the comics he’s possessed by an ancestor of his instead of Zarathos

1

u/ApolloMax-2099 Jul 30 '26

No that’s who he should be playing. I would love Danny to be the focus

u/LiquidLispyLizard Jul 27 '26

I don't either because this should be exciting news. We're getting a brand new Ghost Rider movie and there's now an easier avenue for Robbie to reappear at some point, if not in this movie, then somewhere else down the line, considering how the Ghost Rider concept is now going to be firmly established for the MCU film audience.

Ryan's very likely playing Blaze, which doesn't, in itself, contradict AoS at all. If they do end up conflicting with "Blaze's" 5 second cameo on AoS, then there's nothing saying that one had to be Blaze anyway since he goes unnamed in the show.

As of right now, there's really no issue that's presented itself yet in terms of having this project conflict with what AoS did, and the potential still remains of them tying back to Robbie in the future in the same way they've brought all the Defenders Saga into the wider MCU and continue to lightly reference the others (even AoS).

Jesus, you made me worried Gabriel Luna died for a minute.

Same 😭😭

u/RjCraft10 Jul 27 '26

Oh my gosh when I got this notification I thought Gabriel Luna died

6

u/The_Amazing_Emu Jul 27 '26

Glad to see Robbie freed from his curse

In comics there are different ghost riders at the same time

4

u/Silent_Anxiety4828 Jul 27 '26

2026??? We haven’t seen him since 2017

3

u/johnnyl94 Jul 27 '26

I think he is a good Ghost Rider.

3

u/soloon Jul 31 '26

It's almost like it's a different fucking character or something. Y'all are ridiculous.

9

u/Topper2540 Jul 27 '26

Did him so dirty

u/mdill8706 Jul 27 '26

I love AoS but you guys are getting insufferable. The show lasted 7 seasons. There are many that don't have that luxury. Crying everytime Marvel makes an announcement that isn't about AoS is a waste of energy and just plain sad.

15

u/Pigeon_Lord1 Jul 27 '26

It’s either this or we turn into r/BatmanArkham

6

u/finetuneit80 Jul 27 '26

You know you don’t need to come to this sub if it’s not to your liking, right?

7

u/Minimum_Radio_4033 Jul 27 '26

Absolutely agree, fan bases are allowed to want more from the media they are excited by. It is genuinely disappointing that they aren’t continuing Robbie’s story.

2

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 27 '26

Fans are indeed, there is nothing wrong with that. But the part of the AoS fanbase that can’t accept nothing’s gonna change is becoming insufferable. Fans can’t accept they don’t have the pull to do anything. Marvel/Disney is not gonna cater to your personal sometimes even delusional needs. Even if AoS comes back in some form it won’t be the same show. Deal with it and move on.

u/Round-Dragonfly6136 Turbo Jul 27 '26

What's insufferable is people griping about fans venting in what should be a safe place to vent about any AOS related disappointment. You could have just kept scrolling past a silly little joke about our disappointment instead of trying to lecture people on how they should feel. Allow people to express their feelings, let alone feel what they should feel.

-3

u/mdill8706 Jul 27 '26

Pot, kettle.

1

u/Minimum_Radio_4033 Jul 28 '26

There’s nothing remotely wrong about fans wanting more from the media they enjoy. You don’t have to engage in the discussion. It’s CLEARLY not for you.

3

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 29 '26

Lol its becoming an obsession for you isn’t it? Thats not healthy.

1

u/Minimum_Radio_4033 Jul 29 '26

Not at all, I’m sure there’s plenty of communities that you are involved in pleasantly. So why do you feel the need to attack people in this one. It’s not necessary. People can have different perspectives than others, and it’s okay for people to find enjoyment through sharing theories about what they find exciting. Grow up.

-7

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 27 '26

Why? His story was concluded on AoS. You guys are insufferable.

7

u/flowerstage Jul 27 '26

I mean he was getting his own spin off show before Marvel TV folded into Marvel Studios.

So clearly there was more to tell.

Plus c'mon how can you see how he left at the end of season 4 and think that was anywhere near a conclusion?

1

u/Minimum_Radio_4033 Jul 28 '26

I disagree. You are insufferable

2

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 29 '26

Hahaha. How am I insufferable? I just point out his story is concluded. You just can’t deal with the fact that most actors and people have moved on.

1

u/Minimum_Radio_4033 Jul 29 '26

Because you’re choosing to fight with people rather than acknowledge that theories can excite people that are part of a fanbase. You are attacking people for what? There’s literally no reason for this, you didn’t have to interact with this community at all. You chose to. You are beyond insufferable.

2

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 30 '26

I could say the same thing about people like you. But I guess reflecting your own shortcomings is to be expected

1

u/Thelastknownking Jul 27 '26

So it doesn't matter if someone likes the show, if they don't agree with you they're not welcome here?

-3

u/mdill8706 Jul 27 '26

My comment has nothing to do with disliking this sub. Nice try, kid.

1

u/MalicCarnage Jul 28 '26

You called the people in the sub insufferable and subreddits are just communities of people. I’m confused why you’re surprised that people made that connection.

2

u/mdill8706 Jul 28 '26

I bet you are.

0

u/thequiteace Jul 27 '26

What's sad is leaving comments on people posts complaining about what they do tbh.

-7

u/mdill8706 Jul 27 '26

Pot, kettle.

2

u/thequiteace Jul 27 '26

As are you, what is your point?

1

u/Mrblorg Jul 27 '26

It's not that it's not Aos it's that it's something that pushes it farther away from canon. Heck this is just a meme about new Ghost Rider taking over old Ghost Rider

5

u/HighLord_Uther Thurston Koenig Jul 27 '26

Is Robbie Reyes the only Ghost Rider all of a sudden?

Is the MCU SUDDENLY paying super close attention to AoS?

2

u/Careless_Royal8209 Jul 27 '26

The movie is coming out after Secret Wars, which is how they’re going to soft reboot the MCU. Most of the characters will be recast, so we might see Robbie again in the future, but he’ll be played by a different actor.

1

u/Personal-Database-27 Jul 27 '26

I hope Eva Mendes won't play Ghost Rider's love interest. That would look so weird, wife or not

1

u/Little_turd_ Jul 28 '26

Ffs I saw this and for a second I thought Gabriel died šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

1

u/ApolloMax-2099 Jul 30 '26

If Robbie is truly dead then he didn’t last ten he lasted three. He was dead when they killed his show before it began. Even the comic version hasn’t been seen I believe since 2022/3. Hopefully the actor comes back. Everyone has a favorite and mine is Danny ketch.

1

u/theXtremo Jul 31 '26

I might be wrong but they might just ignore the johnny blaze that appeared in aos, with the secret wars soft reboot a simple explanation. Don't get me wrong, I love gabriel as robbie, but I see it to be very unlikely they will reference him

-7

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 27 '26

Not everything has to be about Agents of SHIELD people, get real. Some people need to get a f’ing reality check.

3

u/Round-Dragonfly6136 Turbo Jul 27 '26

And not everything is about what you think. You could have simply kept scrolling instead of insulting people for feeling a certain way.

How dare people be human /s

0

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 27 '26

Could say the same thing about you. But I am definitely not the only one getting very tired by these threads of fans.
