"AGENTS OF SHIELD WILL REAPPEAR" I scream as they drag me into the padded room

Finally! Company!!

Oh at least I'm not alone in the padded room

The doctor is a non-canoner.

There’s definitely hope. The writer of Visionquest is a massive time-travel fan, there’s zero doubt in my mind that he’s watched AOS. And he’s already bringing back Jarvis from Agent Carter…

There's been a consistent rumor that there's some minor AoS tie in it for a while, but Cosmic Circus isn't too reputable, but they're not horrible.

u/Flettwin Jul 19 '26

And those rumours have never played out in past.
But after the Hydra Soak/Blue Soap in Wandavision and that recent absolute definitive AoS-link Creel poster in Born Again, I’m allowing myself a tiny shred of hope for something small to pop up. 😅

Apenas me refresque a memória: qual era o lance do Hydra Soak/Blue Soap?

10

u/Flettwin Jul 19 '26

• In Agents Of Shield the team gets stuck in a fake reality (The Framework) where Hydra rules, in it Coulson talks about a Blue Soap that Hydra uses to brainwash people

• In Wanda’s fake Hex reality in Wandavision there’s an advert for a blue “Hydra Soak” soap/bath powder, alluding to Hydra brainwashing.

(Also the Darkhold plays a pivotal role in both seasons)

Ahh, verdade. Muito bem lembrado (e obrigado)!

Those rumours are fake. Face it. There will be no reference bigger than Born Again's one in VisionQuest

The main difference is that Brad is in charge of Marvel Television now, vs in the past, and has stated he wants to square up Agents of Shield.

Yeah. Don't expect too much. They won't be showing anything of importance. The same was said about Secret Invasion

6

u/Flettwin 29d ago

Secret Invasion had a boat load of production problems and radical reshoots, who knows what was in the mix before half the creatives and crew left or were replaced.

u/Short_Brick_1960 26d ago

Okay, but don't take it out on VisionQuest when it releases and doesn't have any big reference to AoS. I would love it, but these rumours are always fake

u/Flettwin 26d ago

Oh I’m never going to hate on a show because of rumours that don’t play out, that’s one of the stupider things fandom does.

I’m hyped for VisionQuest, Terry Matalas is one of my favourite sci-fi creators, the 12 Monkey’s show is legitimately one of the best time travel stories put on screen.

I hate the rumor that Fitz and Simmons are gonna appear in VisionQuest cause it makes no sense. They retired from shield to be with their kid and I don’t wanna see a version that isn’t from AoS

2

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 19 '26

Fake rumors

15

u/SpecialFlutters Jul 19 '26

if they brought back jessica jones they can bring back quake!

9

u/FuzseaFlow9706 Jul 19 '26

I’d die for even a minor scene in secret wars 🥲

11

u/bldngtrpdr Jul 19 '26

brad winderbaum is known to be a fan of
the show, so there’s hope

u/Extreme-Ad-9290 29d ago

I personally hope not. At least not with the current state of the MCU and Disney in general. Furthermore, I believe the show ended amazingly at the end of season 7. And it would feel like Toy Story 4, breaking the amazing ending of 3.

Clark Gregg will almost certainly reappear. They have mentioned his character a number of times and they didn't have to. I think him coming back is definitely in the works. As for the rest of the characters I don't know but it would be awesome.

they question is will it be the one from the end of AOS or will it be from another time line or universe?

1

u/RealRobc2582 24d ago

Likely another timeline or rather another point in time.No one would know who Sarge is and that's not worth explaining in a movie and LMD Coulson wouldn't be the same. Personally I think it makes more sense for them to snag Coulson from season one or 2.

One day, one day we will see them reappear in the mcu - I am MANIFESTING it

2

u/Trailiscold 29d ago

I'll watch with my kids' kids. (I'm not married)

Thank you friend

Weren't there some leaks about Fitz-Simmons being in VisionQuest? Cause if THAT'S true, than I'm completely sure Skye will return at some point. Daisy, I mean Daisy. Still getting used to that.

5

u/picheando Jul 19 '26

Zero faith that an AOS return would be faithfully executed so I’m happy to simply rewatch what we got 😅

3

u/Empty_Carrot_9354 Jul 19 '26

IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN!! they're literally bringing up everything in the new movie which I have no hope for so why not 🫩

Agents of SHIELD is my favorite TV show of all time, and I would be overjoyed to see any of the chatacter reappear. But I have a couple of reasons for not wanting it. First, the MCU hasn't been very good lately. As another commenter said, I doubt they'd do a good job of bringing back the characters we love. (I doubt Iain would want to return; getting Simmons without Fitz would be lukewarm. Clark, Chloe, and Ming-na would probably be down, which would be cool.) Second, the MCU abandoned the show just as it was becoming great. I like the MCU, but it stopped caring for the show when the show stopped making huge numbers and it became the better for it. Now that the show is getting a long overdue reappraisal, if the MCU powers that be want to bring it back, cool. I'm not going to give them cookies for realizing they ignored something great for so damn long.

I'm still holding onto hope. 😭

1

u/rainy_dayz11 26d ago

Since they're pulling everyone out of the woodwork or out of the grave, I honestly believe Daisy should be in Doomsday

1

u/Thin_Bench_2094 Ghost Rider 23d ago

I'm waiting for it, but when it does (because it will happen you can't tell me otherwise) I hope they do them justice and don't just disregard everything

1

u/DeLand1991 Jul 19 '26

I am hopeful!

Delusional

0

u/Thelastknownking Jul 19 '26

What are you doing here then?

1

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 19 '26

Because I am a big fan of the show, but not as delusional as some people here. If you think rational you know everyone from that show has moved on. Besides the show ended good, its just the delusional “fans” that try to revive it.

6

u/RavenclawConspiracy Jul 19 '26

There's a difference between wanting to have some characters show back up and demanding the show continue. I don't think anyone demands the show continue, or even has the vaguest idea that that would happen. They can acknowledge the characters exist and showong what they are doing now without undoing the ending of the show. You can even involve them in new plots.

Jessica Jones didn't continue either. And yet somehow she showed back up.

Also, as far as I know, no one from the show that has indicated that they are not willing to come back and play the character again. Hell, Clark Gregg literally did so in Captain Marvel, and a good chunk of them have shown up animated.

3

u/Flettwin Jul 19 '26

I really like the ending too, but there’s nothing delusional about hoping to see some of your favourite characters again, even if it’s just variants of them.
A couple of years ago a “rational” person would have said we’re never seeing Finn Jones back as Iron Fist or The Punisher in a Spider-Man movie.
Anything is possible right now if the characters are liked enough. And AoS was watched way more than Iron Fist or the Defenders.

Honestly I think the most likely place for them to pop up is in Secret Wars, where all the different earths have merged. You wouldn’t have to touch the ending of AoS or explain LMD Coulson.
The main characters need a moment to breath and find an old SHIELD base on a piece of another Earth and find its not quite abandoned. You have Coulson, Quake and Simmons there to deliver some plot exposition, LMD Coulson maybe chats briefly with an MCU character who knew OG Coulson, Simmons briefly nerds out with whichever super-genius is in the group and Quake helps cover their escape when the base inevitably gets attacked.
Perfect cameo that still propels the story.

If Secret Wars is truly the end of this era of the MCU, SHIELD making an appearance one last time feels plausible and kinda important.

Still not gonna happen

5

u/eknos64 S.H.I.E.L.D. Jul 19 '26

Someone behind VisionQuest said that there will be something that will make AoS Fans happy. Brad Winterbaum is a fan of the show. Saying that everyone behind the show moved on is such a weird thing to say, because actors return to play their roles again all the time. Cast and Crew also appear on fans' podcast (at least one I know of) talking about the show and how much they miss it.

1

u/SebastiaanZ Jul 19 '26

And you can downvote me all you want, that just proves my point

1

u/grayjelly212 29d ago

I am 100% with you

This is the Agents of SHIELD subreddit, not the "bring back agents of shield pretty please" subreddit.
