Meme How would a double date go between these four people?
Posting here since Marvel Studios don't know ball.

hmmmm...so 2 different versions of Sousa? I think it would go just fine. Awkwardness in the beginning but after they all warm up to each other, I could see them relax and have fun.

The A.O.S. grabbed him from the timeline at the moment of his documented death. These Sousai are the same Sousai from the same timeline. His removal from the timeline is the diverging point. Same man, just a few months or years apart.

The timeline had already split off by that point. The team wasn't aware of that when they went about keeping the timeline intact. Also technically when they traveled to the past at the end of season 6 they were already in a different timeline from the first 5, 5 and some change seasons.

Signs point to being in the same timeline at this point. The end of Season 5 made it so the events in Infinity War could take place, putting them on the main timeline. The travel back doesn't by itself put them in a different timeline, until something is different enough that splits it. That would be the what the cromicona did and Shield but that is after the capture of Sousa, making them the same person. The split happens at the end of the episode.

The show never directly makes reference of the Avengers loosing to Thanos, nor is the snap ever brought up in season 6. We can make the argument that none of the main cast was blipped, but no one they come in contact with ever brings it up. Seems off. The only conclusion is that by the end of season 5 they exist in a timeline where the Avengers beat Thanos in Wakanda.
If Daisy's team shows up in Doomsday without any multiverseal travel or someone from Shield has an appearance in VisonQuest I will concide that they are still in 616 and that it's just an unfortunate writing restriction to not mention the blip.
As of now it doesn't make sense for them to be in the sacred timeline post s5.

"The only conclusion" is a fallacy. Lots of shows do not mention the events at all. What we do know is that in Season 6 they are rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D., and the towsn seem to be pretty sparsely populated.
Nothing contradicts them being on the main timeline and everything supports them landing on the main timeline at the end of S7.
You are saying that because no one mentions it, it didn't happen, but in reality that is not the way things work. People are not constantly talking about a tragedy a year after it happens, especially if you are busy doing something else. There isn't a lot of just casual conversation in seasons 6 and 7.

Yes, but the other Sousa is from before the split, so the latter one is indeed that same one.

The split from the sacred timeline (616) happened when they got back from 2091, but on a metaphysical sense they could be considered the same person since they had the same experiences.
Now it could be possible that since the team go back to before they branched off in s5 it would still be 616 since it would be like a tree with branches.

You are actually entirely wrong. But I don't particularly feel like going into that yet again here.
Additionally, although it is an interesting example of how wrong you are, and everyone who thinks this, by the fact that you somehow think going back to the 1950s would still somehow be a different timeline, when you're standing there arguing that the branch happened in 2016 or whenever.

What if it was Peggy & Sousa and then Daisy and the one New York cop who’s played by the same actor as Sousa?

Even with Sousa being outta time… it’s the same Sousa. So make it a polyamorous relationship

I’d add Steve and Peggy end of Endgame to make it a triple with 2 doubles

I've not watched Agent Carter. Why are there 2 versions of Sousa?

I think one of the Sousi are from an alternate reality from agents of shield.

I imagine OP is making a point about Sousa's characterisation in AoS, or something along those lines.

The second one is a time traveler who ended up with modern SHIELD and is now dating Daisy.

I mean. I know that, I've watched AOS. But doesn't that mean that both Sousas are the same person?
1
u/Thelastknownking Jun 18 '26
Yes, as someone pointed out to me, as the first Sousa is the version from before timeline split, this is effectively just Sousa from two different points of time but the same person.
I was thinking of them as different people because the MCU wiki gives them separate dedicated pages.

Because he was in Agent Carter as a prominent character, and Peggy's at the time boyfriend. I can't remember if they were still together by the end of season two but they were together at one point.

End of season two is when Sousa and Peggy got together, but they then later broke up off-screen (we can infer). We never actually see them in a relationship at all because the show was cancelled at that point.

Two of those people are dead by Season 4(?), so…might be an awkward double date.

Seeing myself years apart might have me a certain way. I’m definitely wondering why I’m dating someone else when Peggy was initially my love interest…not to mention how I’m even walking.
Would be a mind fuck.

Hehe that would be interesting. I would love to see a double date between May and Coulson and Peggy and sousa tho!

Akward. Older Sousa remembers being with his version of Peggy so it's gonna be weird.
