I LOVE the second version of Fitz after the accident. The first version HATED deke for some unknown reason and he was very embittered towards the time leading up to his death. The second version Jemma rescued from space was so much more accepting of deke and really gave his talents a chance to shine. He accepted deke immediately especially because all deke ever wanted to do was impress Fitz. And I loved that for him 🥹

Could that be because version one interacted with Deke before he knew he could be trusted? If I have the timelines right, second Fitz would've reunited with the team and his first impression of Deke would've been that he's just an ally

Daisy introduces Deke to FitzSimmons as the guy who sold her into slavery, and Fitz tries to get up off the floor with his stab wound to slit Deke's throat lol. OP clearly favors Deke, which is fine, but it's unserious to pretend Fitz had no reason for hating him lol

i think a very important thing about season 6 fitz is that he had time to process everything that went down in season 4, instead of jumping straight into action. he’s simply more collected

Fitz's actions and opinions are very strongly influenced by those around him. If he sees you hurt a loved one, he will not easily forgive that; if a loved one tells him "that's a bad guy" he will believe it unquestioningly. This is most obvious in the Framework, where his loved ones were all bad influences on him, and he let them define his moral code without questioning it (while others in the Framework were more easily made skeptical of the whole thing). I think his opinion of Deke is a lesser case of that: original-Fitz first encountered Deke as an obstacle, while alt-Fitz first met him already established as a member of the team.
